Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Text Revision Dsm-5-tr

I purchased the DSM-5-TR for my PMHNP program and clinical work, and it is definitely one of those books that is expensive but necessary. This is not something I would consider a casual read, but as a reference book it is extremely useful. The organization makes it easy to look up diagnostic criteria, specifiers, differential diagnoses, and updated codes when needed. The book itself is large and not exactly convenient to carry around, but that is expected with a full DSM. I do like having the full version instead of only relying on quick online searches or smaller pocket references, especially when I need more detail for school assignments, clinical reasoning, or documentation. For PMHNP students, psychiatry providers, therapists, or anyone in mental health training, this is a solid reference to have. My only downside is the price and size, but the content is worth it if you actually need the full DSM-5-TR.

I’ve wanted a DSM for years and I finally ordered one. I’m so glad I did. I’m not a clinician or a student. I’m simply fascinated with the science of human behavior and its causes. I bought it used with a “Good” rating from the seller. This book is pristine. I don’t think it has ever been opened. There are no scratches or even fingerprints on the cover. I’m glad that summer is here because I will spend entire days reading and learning.

This is a great addition to my school books, as I pursue a master's.

If you are studying to become a therapist please add this to your many collection of books to have for understanding and diagnosing clients correctly!

My daughter needed this for school and she's already used it tons! This is a pricy book but it's priced on par so it's a good value. The book itself is good quality with a good, thick cover. The pages are just that, thin pages as you'd expect. She's able to highlight without much bleed through. The size is perfect for easy usage but travel too.

Purchased from Amazon and it was genuine APA Publishing book. Caution about other sellers who sell unauthorized editions. I need this for school, clinicals and work so it must be the genuine DSM and this one is confirmed with the back cover QR code as authentic. If you’re a psychiatrist or PMHNP, get the real deal and spend a couple extra bucks rather than get stuck with a counterfeit book that may be missing Dx, etc. Consider it an investment in your practice.

The book is authentic and a decent quality. However, in delivery, the corner of the book was damaged slightly. The seller should think about packing books such as these better especially when you’re spending over $150 on a book.

Great book, I prefer having a physical boom next to me when studying stuff so this was amazingly useful for my studies instead of going back and forth between tabs. 🙏
