I decided not to solder the touchpad button, but I did solder in the flex cable to be able to remap L3/R3. The soldering itself is pretty simple and you have some space to work, so if you have a finer tip, you could probably do it no problem. There is a lot of disassembly and fiddly little ribbon cables to pull out and reattach, and something could go wrong at any turn. Make sure you watch the entire installation video before you decide to risk it. This mod is also almost totally reversible, but I hope to never open this controller again...even a future battery change will be complicated by the added ribbon cables and adhesive. That said, the rubberized grips are awesome, and the K1/K2 buttons are well placed, nicely sized, and give good feedback. Programming them on the fly is also really easy to do. I used Astro's Playroom to check all my controller functions after installation, and tested the headphone jack and mic as well...so far, so good. We'll see how long this piece of kit holds up, but as it stand, I am very happy. The install video is very detailed, and very easy to follow. If you are going to make the attempt, be sure to take your time, pause, and rewind as needed. I was confused by the prompts to "skip if you aren't soldering" but you do need everything in the box, save the skinny L3/R3 cable unless you intend to solder that on the board. The included tools were definitely good enough to get the job done and they threw in a bunch of spare screws as well.

Ordered this last night got here today. Took about an hour following the YouTube video that just shows the real button setup. No triggers or anything. It definitely takes a little patience with all the small screws and such but if you follow the video step by step you shouldn’t have any problems. After I put it together my R1 and R2 button didn’t work. Googled it. Not many answers. Took the controller apart and the ribbon for those two buttons came lose out it back in put the controller back together and everything works perfectly. Great product. Install is as easy as it can be if you follow the video. I would buy again and recommend this product. Thank you!

Just built a controller for a buddy and put this in it and this thing gets 5 stars all the way, the rubber feels similiar to a stock xbox elite, the back paddles are perfectly placed and have a satisfying click. Whole thing works flawless with the tactile triggers and LED kit (if you're into that, my buddy is) And now I'm jealous of my buddy and quite upset that this kit isn't out for the switch pro controller yet. While i was installing it i held up the back attachment as a mock up to one of my 3 (already decked out in extremerate mods) switch pro controllers and it totally works. And I would KILL for some pro controller handles wrapped in this rubber. My buddy is now calling out pings in Halo like there's no tomorrow, and I'm over here like a chump tryna push the dpad up just because i prefer my pro controllers over my elite (no gyro) and PlayStation (stick layout) controllers. Clicky face buttons too, i recently fried a pro controller board trying to solder that one in myself, oro controller fans want nice things too guys. I'd recommend this kit to literally anybody who likes the ps5 controller, 5 stars all the way.

Lamentablemente no es lo que esperaba, seguí al pie de la letra el manual de instalacion y lo q conseguí es tirarme el rouch de mi mando, sin contar que nunca funcionó ninguna configuración de mapeo, dejé un mando como pisapapeles. No puedo ni devolverlo xq ya no estoy en el pais

It was a lot of work, a bunch of little tweaks you have to make like sanding down some parts or adding a piece of paper folded underneath the button cover to get enough space for the paddles to be depressed. They also sent me black when I ordered purple, but overall it works really well. And it’s easy to use. Only suggestion would be for them to add better spacers that come with the package and make the back button cover out of a stronger material.

This was one of the best things I've ever purchased. The paddles have made many games infinitely more comfortable and ergonomic to play. No more claw shaped hand needed to play Elden Ring. I love the ability to endlessly re-map the paddles to accommodate whatever game I'm playing. I couldn't imagine playing without them now. I will say that the installation was a journey in and of itself. The tutorial on their youtube channel is a necessity, I can't fathom doing it without it. I am not too proud a man to say that I am helpless at this type of thing, and the moment I opened up my controller I feel like I made a grave mistake. But I took a deep breath and followed the tutorial to a T. When I closed up the controller and switched it on, I fully expected it not to work- but it did! It may sound a little pathetic, but I felt SO accomplished afterwards. Not only did I get the benefit of the paddles themselves, but I accomplished something I never thought I could. Boosted my controller and my self confidence.

The product itself is fantastic. Once you get it installed it’s works great and you payed $40 instead of $200 for a premium controller by 3rd party designers. Haven’t had any issues so far and been enjoying it. For those scared off by installation: It isn’t just a few quick steps, it is definitely a process. However extreme rate has very easy to follow videos to help you set it up. If you relax and NOT THINK about ruining your controller it’s actually a pretty fun experience. Soldering for the R3 and L3 buttons is unfortunately required but it’s pretty easy. Overall great product, just know you’ll have to put in some time to get it set up!

This is a great alternative if you are confident enough to disassemble your controller and reassemble it. I’ll take this all day over paying over 200 for the scuf counterpart. Installation takes maybe 30-40 minutes tops and isn’t terribly difficult. They post install guides on YouTube so it simplifies it. Only downside is the paddle design they break easily and aren’t the most supported. Otherwise a great product!

Ho sempre comprato i prodotti di questa casa e devo dire che il kit per la PS5 è eccezionale, rispetto a quello della PS4 è molto più pratico da installare, ma attenzione non è come montare i premi degli ovetti kinder, richiede una manualità elevata e per mappare tutti i tasti una capacità di saldare di buon livello anche se, altra nota di merito, per i tasti L3 e R3 hanno creato una maschera facilissima da saldare al posto dei vecchi fili microscopici. Se fate FPS è un prodotto da avere e da installare assolutamente
