The brilliance of this item is not about iSmartGate, but about making the 2.0+ technology switches dumb again. Pre 2.0+ wall push push-buttons were nothing more than a single pole momentary contact switch - a doorbell button/switch. I wanted to add several switches around garage that worked the opener but in order to add the latest switches is would cost $30/switch because of the 2.0+ boards integrated in the Chamb/LiftMas switches. Trying to internally access switch connections was going to have to be a soldering miracle but this brilliant device accomplishes this by making physical contact of internal switch connections without soldering. Again, just plain BRILLIANT!

the ring surrounding the wall remote button is very fragile

I used this to integrate my Gogogate garage opener with my new Chamberlain garage door opener. The design of this is admirable to get around the security on the push button itself. The wire connectors are a bit questionable. I felt I had to apply more force than I wanted to in order to make the connection. This was concerning to me, as there's literally no PCB or anything at all durable about the design. The installation pictures seem to depict it being sticky taped to the wall of a garage, and I just don't see it being durable enough for that. Ultimately I was able to tuck the device into an adjoining opener so it was protected. Overall, the design is good and accomplished what I wanted to keep my Gogogate controller working.

I am disappointed, wanting this adapter to work with my reliable and trusty GoGoGate2 but it was not to be.For what its worth i have an old functioning and reliable GoGoGate2 hub, managing two garage doors with hardwired magnetic door sensors.For whatever reason this adapter would not work with my recently installed D2101 Chamberlain garage door openers using the supplied push button door control part number 041A7367-3.The install was a disappointment but the adapter return and immediate refund was painless and successful.

Unit paired to alexa very easily. Open and close commands were intermittent but acceptable. All and all its a good method to upgrade to smart control for the price.

Easy to install on wall button, connected my two dry contacts and the door opens and closes with my smart home device.

I hate MyQ and their stupid proprietary system. With it I could only have one door opener button. Now I can have one at each door in the garage. I don't have to use the MyQ app anymore. With a smart plug and a couple of relays I can use Samsung SmartThings which I believe is far superior. I can also use Google Home which you cannot use with the MyQ system. I wish I'd known about this item long ago.
