I’m extremely disappointed with both this purchase and the customer service I received from Cibus Direct. My order contained Parmigiano Reggiano that was labeled as requiring refrigeration, yet it arrived warm and the ice pack included in the shipment was also warm. I documented the condition of the shipment with photographs, including the temperature of the ice pack, and provided those photos to the seller when they requested them. Rather than addressing my concern or offering any meaningful assistance, the response I received was essentially that Parmigiano Reggiano is a hard cheese and “can stay out for some time without any issues,” along with the assertion that my order had been in transit for less than 24 hours. That statement was particularly frustrating because the tracking information I provided showed the shipment process beginning on September 9, and I did not receive the package until September 15. I even sent a screenshot of the tracking information showing this. At no point did the seller offer a replacement, refund, credit, or any other solution. There was no attempt to investigate why a product marked for refrigeration arrived warm or why the ice pack was no longer cold. Instead, my concern was simply dismissed. Whether Parmigiano Reggiano can tolerate some time outside refrigeration is beside the point. When a customer receives a food product warm that is specifically labeled to be refrigerated, it is entirely reasonable to question its condition and expect the seller to address the concern professionally. I gave the seller photographs, temperature information, and tracking documentation and gave them an opportunity to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I received no meaningful assistance. The lack of concern and customer service is the reason for my one-star review. I would not purchase refrigerated or temperature-sensitive food from this seller again.
