Nektar Impact GX Mini 25 Velocity-sensitive Mini Keys Portable USB Midi Controller

A few years ago, I went to shop and purchased a NEKTAR IMPACT LX 49. After using it for two years, dust got accumulated and the pitch bend started malfunctioning. Since I was out of warranty, I did not contact Nektar support and purchased from amazon the NEKTAR IMPACT GX61 Midi. Before I thought of selling the old keyboard, I contacted the Nektar support just like that to ask how can I fix it. As I was unable to find any midi repair shops in my city. To my susprise, nektar support responded, and inspite of me being outside warranty period, they were kind and sent me a replacement pitch bend wheels to my home address, for absolutely free of cost and gave me instructions on how to fix it. I did it and it worked like charm. Now I have two keyboards. :( I was both happy and sad. Happy because Nektar support was very helpful. Electronics are never perfect. We get issues. But the service must be good. And Nektar service is really good. Sad because, I did not contact them before and purchased a new keyboard. But the new keyboard is fine too, I am using both actually. One as extended Midi for much higher nodes. So I am a professional music director working for actual feature films, ad's, short films, documentaries. And this midi is perfect for it. It will easly work way better and the keys are semi weighted and really soft. They are responsive enough and the touch sensitivity works great. The functions on the keyboard work great too. When you lay hands on the keyboard, you feel good. The plastic used is perfect too. So GO FOR IT ! DONT THINK ! :) I composed a lot of music with this. Works great !

Quality of the product is good and value for money

The best keyboard in budget, it will get the work done. Feels great with the keys, just no fancy automation knobs. Buy it without doubt if you are looking for a budget Midi controller or rather if you want automation knobs and faders you can go for Nektar LX Series. Overall Best in budget, lacks in features like knobs and automation but you can adjust it through your DAW so no worries. Great Buy and thank you "PRO AUDIO BRANDS" for providing a great conditioned product and packaging, good customer service. If you are ordering it from amazon choose Pro audio brands as your seller.

After using those bulky Roland and Casio keyboards i decided to buy a minimal looking keyboard that just fits my needs and budget. So I decided to buy a Midi keyboard after doing a bit of research. Here's what's i found after buying it-> I love it's minimal looks for sure. The texture of the keys is amazing. It makes a little clicky clacky sound on pressing keys but i don't mind it. At this price range, I think it's well under my needs. At first, what i did was to turn off velocity keys by SETUP->VELOCITY CURVES-> PRESS 6--> ENTER. Make sure to adjust velocity According to the manual. Installing Bitwig DAW and activating it was easy.

Bought this toy for 8800 here on Amazon and this absolutely worth for the money i spent. This is just a midi keyboard and keys are just real and sensitivity is just fine for the price point. I don't look for any fancy features like mixer controls/ pad controls as i got an ableton push to serve that purposes. The controls are fine and yeah keys are working fine with ableton, however, had to map the controls of the button manually for my choice controls. So if you are planning to buy this keyboard to work with ableton, it might not be a perfect choice although you can map the buttons. The body is plastic and may feel cheap like a toy but when it's being connected up, BOOM!!! and it serves my workflow really well. You cannot just handle it rough as the body is not that quality built but what better quality can be expected at this price point. For me spending 40k on midi keyboard is something crazy. All i needed was playable keys and this toy perfectly suits my needs, If you got similar workflow go for this toy and it will never disappoint you.

Good product

I have been user of Nektar GX and LX series for past 7 years now. I own LX61+ and GX61. Both of them are good keyboards with most of the necessary features in a budget price. However, in both of these cases, I have had issues with the pitchwheel, where it started malfunctioning and setting incorrect values in my DAW. The team keeps on saying that it could be due to dust, but that makes no sense to me as my m-Audio KS 61 has worked perfectly fine. Getting this fixed is not easy as I have to ship my keyboard to their repair center. So, be mindful of this issue if you're making a purchase. Apart from that, a good product overall.

Awesome product ...after a lot of research i found it better then the M audio midi keyboard of the same price range... The daw control buttons works perfectly with fl studio , presonus studio one 4 ,reaper ,ableton and bitwig...but in some daws you have to download a daw control setup from nektor official website..install the setups and you are ready to go. Im using mostly it mostly with studio one 4 it works like a charm.....after buying this i dont have to go back to mouse again and again while playing my midi ..all major daw control functions are working perfectly ...which inceased my work flow a lot... Also its build quality is very good....it has a solid good quality plastic compared to other keyboards of this range...... Only bad thing is that it took total 9 days to deliver ...every thing is great with this midi keyboard If you are new to midi keyboards i suggest you to buy this...you will not get any better keyboard then nekar impact gx 61 in this price range....

趣味DTMマンですが、そろそろ61鍵くらいにしないといけないかなと思い購入。 都内の楽器屋さんを数件回ってKeystation61やA-800-PROを触ってきましたが、Keystation61は正直キータッチが…ピアノとしては弾けない私でもあまりテンションが上がらない仕上がり。ペンペンペンといった感じ。 それに対しA-800-PROは素晴らしいものでした。欲しくなるのも分かります。…が高い。 GX61は2017年12月発売のニューモデル。 なので若干の賭けでもありましたが…これだけ後発でリリースすると言う事はそれなりの良さがあるだろうと考えてAmazonでポチッとやりました。 結論から言うと、不満ほぼゼロです。 ・61鍵。両手で使っていけます。 ・簡易DAWのほか、DTM用の音源も付属してくる。 ・キータッチはA-800-PRO等のハイエンドには満たないが、打鍵感もほどよくタッチしていて「うわぁ安っぽい…テンション下がる…」みたいなのはない。 ・マイナーなので、接続に関する日本語のガイドもネット上の情報も少なめ。 ・StudioOne Proffessional 3(S1)で使用時、S1側をアップデートすると接続設定が解除されてしまうことがあった。再度接続設定をすれば解消されるがちょっとモヤッとした。 ・左側のコントロール系も使い勝手◎。パネルが少ないと見せかけてボタン同士の組み合わせで出来る操作もある為やりたいことはだいたい可能。

Though I did trade this in for a mini MIDI controller, it actually was quite nice and did everything I wanted it to do. MIDI controllers, not synthesizers. This means that it produces information based on your input. There are no internal sounds. You will not hear any music with this alone. What is does do is the following... When you play the controller, it takes the information you input (what notes you play; how hard you strike the notes; how long you hold them etc), along with the parameters you adjust with the wheels, knobs, buttons, sustain pedal (NOT included)... Then it translates this information into MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface), and sends it out to the next stage of music production via the included USB cable. You will require a sound engine of some sort to hear music. These days that usually means a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) like Logic, GarageBand (only for Mac computers) FL, Cubase, Ableton, Cakewalk (free and for PC), Pro Tools etc. Alternatively, you could use a digital interface. Anyway, you will need some internal computer software or outboard hardware to hear music. A DAW is a great choice because you can record and switch instruments and create many layers, as well as edit and snap them to a time grid if you're sloppy etc. There is a ton to know, but the important point is that this is a MIDI controller, not an independent instrument.
