This is a lovely sharp well made knife. It comes razer sharp out of the box and feels like a quality knife. It’s great for everyday use around the kitchen and cuts veg etc with ease. It seems to be holding its edge well and has been the knife I usually look for when I need to chop some bits up. My only wish for this knife is that if came with a case or a holder. If you have one of those magnetic wall holders, I’m sure it would be safer on there than in the draw like I have it.Overall it’s a quality knife and can recommend if you are after one like it.

I'm reviewing the 5" utility knife. In my pic the small plastic knife point protecter is shown and an egg for scale purposes. (the egg was the closest thing to hand, and something we can all relate to)The box it comes in is nice enough to keep for tidying things in once the foam insert is removed.The knife itself looks good and very well made, and comes with a tiny plastic point protecter. A full length plastic blade protecter would have been a better option, as the tiny protecter will soon be lost I fear.The handle is steel and wood - it claims to be natural leadwood which is from the bush willow tree, and it comes with an ebony black finish, it has a solid, weighty feel and balances the blade well.The blade itself is obviously well crafted and very hardened with a black hammered finish.The blade is very sharp and despite being put to hard work shows no signs of blunting yet.The blade itself is long and thin, much longer than it appears in the pictures, it has a look of a dagger blade, it's well weighted so be sure not to knock it off the work surface, your feet will lose the fight.If you are enthusiastic about preparing food this versatile knife makes a go to all-rounder. It has become mine where a large knife is not called for.Cons? None at all. Recommended.

Nice and sharp looks good and the handle is great unfortunately after a few dishwashers I noticed there was spots of rust along the knife edge where it was more exposed this became more prevalent over time as I had to sharpen the knife which exposed the edge and every single time it went through the dishwasher more rust spots came through.

YOUSUNLONG Utility Knives 5 inch ProYou can't beat a quality knife, I have over the years accumulated a huge collection of various budget kitchen knives, but I now feel it's worth paying that little bit extra for a higher quality blade. This knife has a 5 inch blade which is useful for more delicate work in the kitchen.The knife arrives in a decent quality case where it can be safely stored when not in use. I was rather pleased with this when it arrived, for it's size this is quite a heavy knife. The blade has a blackened hammered finish, this is made from '‎Japanese AUS8 Steel with a Black Titanizing Blade' which does appear to be a form of Damascus steel.The handle is made from rounded ebony hardwood, which is enclosed with a metal cap either end which should help keeep moisture out of the handle. The transition between metal and wood is smooth, I can hardly feel the join.Overall the balance is excellent, the knife feels good in the hand. I often feel the sharpness of a blade is shown by how readily it can slice through tomatoes. This review is for the 5in model. The knife came in a really beautiful black box with protections all around the knife, it also came with extra protection in the tip. The packaging looks like a premium product. The handler is made of wood in black, the knife is painted in black except by the edge of the blade. The materials from the handler and the blade seems of good quality. The blade is really sharp and after few uses the blade is still cutting amazingly fruits and vegetables specially tomatoes which sometimes are difficult to cut. The knife is comfortable and well balanced. For the same price there are other profesional knives, however this one can be a really nice gift as the presentation is quite nice.

The knife came really well packaged, and would be a nice gift for a new home.It's really good and sharp. The wooden handle feels good to hold and is secure in use.

This is a very beautiful knife. Shape and detail just fantastic, the only thing that let it down for me a little was the logo on the blade. Also the finish on the blade is so highly polished it looked like it had a plastic film over it.The weight and balance is really good.At first I though that it didn't look particularly sharp but it really is. It cut through peppers with no resistance whatsoever and cutting through chicken breast was like cutting through butter.Given that it is quite substantial it should stand up well to being sharped after I inevitably dull the blade.NB: You should not put this knife in the dishwasher because it will make the handle dry and change colour. Inevitably someone will put it in the dish washer. A little oil on the handle will restore it back to the way it was almost like new.
