This things awesome.
I know people say this is unsafe. Lol. I guess their trying to take off inches in a few seconds. But this thing works great.

It's a beast
So far I used this to grind down five ash stumps averaging about 16" in diameter that were already cut very low to the ground. Now "dome shaped" hopefully their curved edges will be less dangerous to run a mower over. As others have stated, this grinding wheel should come with usage warnings all over it. About the only tool I’ve ever used that is as scary as this thing is a chainsaw, and a chainsaw I’m well used to so this may be worse. You have to maintain a two-handed death grip on the grinder body at all times and be prepared to be hit by projectiles of bark or smaller shoots growing around the stump because it’ll peel anything small or loose right off and send it flying, sometimes right at one hand or another. Be careful around windows too. I sat on a 12” high stool with my legs out in front of me on either side of the stump and they were stung pretty good by flying debris before all five stumps were rounded off and lowered some. There were a few times the grinder grabbed and shot toward one leg or another. Near the end of five stumps I could tell the wheel was clogging up but its curved design makes the outer edge less used so it was still good enough to finish the job. Cleaning it after soaking might have been easier but I clamped it in a soft jaw vise and went at it with a wire brush and small pick, both of which were necessary to pick its teeth clean. It’s no longer as sharp as it was right out of the box but cleaned out I expect it to be very useful again when the need arrises. If I ever loan this out to someone they'll be warned to bring it back clean because cleaning it is a tedious PIA. I can't help but wonder if a more open cutter design, like a cheese grater style would be as aggressive and clog less but that's just a guess. All in all well worth the money and effort spent.

Great budget option!
This removes wood as well as the higher priced options. It is a course cut but great for heavier removal. I do custom trim work and am using it to cope my inside miters. This is 10x better than traditional flap disks and much more affordable than the name brand carving disks, while still delivering similar performance.

Aggressive Cutters, Even for Hardwoods
I’ve been using the more-convex 4.5” discs for the past few months to shape bowls. I’ve tried several other brands of wood-carving discs for the angle grinder, including cheaper imports from Asia, and the OBA discs are the best I’ve found. They’re mild steel, so they don’t stay sharp for very long (when carving a large hardwood bowl, such as 20” diameter and 12” deep, I will often go through two or three discs in the process). But when sharp, they are super aggressive cutters, and, in my experience, well-behaved in terms of kick-back, binding, or pulling in unwanted directions. I’ve used them for local Hawaiian hardwoods (mango, lychee, Milo, Koa), and while they do dull more quickly, they still cut these hardwoods quite well. They do have their limits though, and local Kiawe wood (Janka hardness of 3500 or more) causes excessive chattering and rapid dulling). While using the discs I frequently (every few minutes) blow them off with a high-pressure air gun attached to my air compressor and this helps keep them cutting well for longer. Once the teeth become clogged with wood fiber and resins I soak them in drain de-clogger overnight and then brush out the teeth with a brass-bristle brush. The cleaned-off discs don’t cut hardwoods as well as new, but are still good for less demanding woods and for de-barking. I have found that, when cutting hardwoods, it’s helpful to keep the angle of attack and the degree of pressure somewhat lower in order to avoid chattering, which seems to result in bent teeth that quickly shorted the lifespan of the discs. My only complaint is that I wish the discs were available with carbide teeth. Changing the discs every hour or so of carving does become a nuisance, but a manageable one.

Works Great
I was surprised and impressed at how well it works. This is the first time using a wood grinder. My concern when ordering this grinding disk was how highly they recommended the $65 Kutsall tungsten carbide disk. This disk did a great job on my project and dosen't show any wear yet. I used it to grind 20 -6x6 Cedar fence rail edges for a more rustic appearance. It removed material quickly and was easy to control. Works good on soft wood with knots, have not tried with hardwood yet. It worked with my 18V grinder but a lot better with my corded grinder that has a lot more power. You can buy 5 of these for the cost of Kutsall.

VERY Aggressive!
This thing is pure EVIL! It removes a lot of wood in a hurry. That’s exactly what I wanted. What I didn’t count on was how it would catch and kick back. I was holding onto the grinder really tightly. It would catch at random and kick backwards. So you need to hold on tight with both hands and a foot.

Removes wood!
I bought two of these to grind down a stump with an angle grinder and it worked well over all. It these did the job well, taking down about 3 inches of wood on a foot and a half wide stump, bringing it below the surrounding grass. A couple of things to note. if it gets into dirt at all, it will eat up the teeth pretty quick (I knew I would do something dumb, which is why I bought two). Use a brass wire brush to clean out the teeth every now and then since these remove a good bit of wood and do get loaded up a bit over time. The big thing... DO NOT get greedy and DO NOT turn your angle grinder to the right and use the edge of the tool. Trying to take too much or using that edge will cause the disk to grab and WILL rip the grinder out of your hand, especially if it is a high torque electric grinder. No side handle or gorilla grip is going to keep the grinder in your hands. Its not a fault of the tool, and is 100% on the user to use their head and take their time. Be safe and happy grinding!

Tree Stumps
Used to grind down 3 tree stumps that protruded a few cm above ground level. Worked really well on very hard wood that a 35mm wood drill bit struggled with for multiple vertical holes

Eats wood
This is my only experience with these kind of sculpting discs, so I have nothing to compare them with. For me they work excellently and saves me a lot of time. You can let them eat away wood, or use them precise and gently. I recommend using a side gripped angle grinder so that you have two hands controlling it. They are powerful disks that require the strength from two hands to be used effective, precise and safe.
