We've had several styles/material types of mortar and pestle however this one is by far the best. If you want one made of stainless, buy this one. You won't regret it.Also like the stainless because for our purposes, there can be No unwanted bacteria in the powder there this achieves that perfectly because it can be disinfected unlike the stone material ones.

Easy to use and clean, without the heavy weight of traditional stone or marble and great little no slip bottom. Arrived on time and just as described. Very happy

This is the first set I have ever used, but I really like it. I chose the stainless steel because several of the reviews of marble indicated that they broke or cracked after a few uses. This one is sturdy in my hand, super easy to clean, and the heavy pestle crushes herbs, spices, and salt and pepper easily. Nice clean modern look of you choose to store in the open. Buying two more sets for Christmas gifts.

I'd been shopping around for some time for a mortar and pestle set. I'd been mainly looking at stone ones when I came across this one. I'm really glad I opted to buy this stainless steel one instead. Saved me a lot of work seasoning and such that a lot of the stone ones require. The price is excellent on this set and it's very easy to use. The size of the pestle is just right and you can use either end for grinding. VERY pleased with my purchase!

I put it in the dishwasher and it came out fine. It's nice looking. The size is big enough for foods as well as crushing pills and supplements. Since it can be thoroughly washed, no worries about any substances left in it to contaminate the next thing. it worked well for crushing some Chinese tea pills. It is not completely smooth inside so it does seem to grab things as it should while not hiding significant amounts of a powder in its concentric rings.

Easy to use, easy to clean, lightweight, what more can you ask for? The one, and only possible drawback is that it is a little loud when you tap the sides, after all it is a bell turned upside down. Does not bother me at all, but if you need to make guac in total silence, this may not be for you.

I really like the looks of this mortar and pestle. I had ordered a ceramic one and it came in pieces. Replacement one was broken also. This is a terrific one. I will get many years of service from it. It would also make a great gift.
