It is a very helpful kitchen tool that serves its purpose well. The price is right, too.

It works well slicing green onions into thin strips instead of trying to Julienne by hand for toppings or as a side dish for Korean bbq. I haven’t tried it with other vegetables but it definitely does its’ job for green onions.

It might be silly to buy single use kitchen gadgets but this really saves time and effort and it doesn't take much space. I use it only to slice thin shreds of green onion (lengthwise). It's quicker and relatively safer than using a knife to do it. Soak the onions in ice water after so they curl up and stay fresh. I just wish i could've chosen the color, oh well.

It is a good idea for a product, but there are some lacking elements. First, it is kind of a pain to clean since you have to get between the blades to really clean it. I've taken to just soaking it in hot water and shaking it dry. Also, the blades themselves are not the sharpest, so they will end up pulling on the green onion near the end. Also, once the blades get clogged by not cutting, then will start to spread and throw off the cut. There doesn't appear to be an easy way to sharpen the individual blades either, so no real solution to the problem.

This product works and dose make it easier to slice spring onions.

Works great for shredding green onions! It’s surprisingly sharp and very easy to use. I liked it so much that I bought a second one to give to a family member who also wants to make Korean green onion salad.

This item is currently sold by different sellers, and not Amazon directly. Mine came from "Japan Bargain." They sent me a white color unit and not the red one pictured. I was expecting a red one based on the product picture, and would have preferred the red. It does the job and I'm happy with it. I did not have a problem with pieces getting stuck in the blades as another reviewer stated. It is the loose outer layer of the scallion that tends to get stuck, so either remove any loose outer layers or pull out any pieces that get stuck in the unit right away without waiting for it to completely plug up. The loose outer layer doesn't shred well anyway, so you are better off removing it before starting. This is a Japanese product, negi is scallions in Japanese, so this literally the "Scallion Cutter."
