Frigidaire GENUINE 5303281153 Rear Bearing Kit for Dryer

If your dryer makes a squealing noise that seems to come from the back of the dryer, this is the part you need. The bearing screws to the back of the dryer tub and the plastic bearing support screws to the dryer case. My original support was worn down almost 1/4" and allowed the bearing to run metal-to-metal. Overall, a pretty easy repair and now my dryer is whisper quiet again!

I bought the unit used and to my dismay it began to squeal like nails on a chalkboard whenever I needed to use the dryer. After doing some reading online and watching some youtube videos, I realized that the rear bearing was the cause of this problem. Instead of buying an entirely new dryer (which I considered because the squealing was so bad), I went ahead and purchased this kit. Taking apart the dryer was a lot easier than expected and to no surprise my existing rear bearing was roughed up, dry, and was running along metal. The kit was pretty easy to install! As suggested by other people, you should screw the screws through the bearing plate first to thread the holes before attaching it to your dryer barrel. Since installing it, I've ran a lot of loads and it works perfectly. No squealing and no hair tearing out! Saved myself hundreds of dollars buying this kit.

Just what was needed; quality was good and items looked like originals. Fairly easy to install using videos on YouTube.

The process was not difficult. Parts were a exact replacement and good quality. The squeaking sound is gone.
