Is this knife legal to carry around with you?

Answer. It is an offence to carry any sharp or bladed instrument in a public place, with the exception of a folding pocket knife where the cutting edge of the blade is 7.62 cm (3 inches) or less. But, I have an eating problem so carry this with me to cut up food. I am 80 so don't expect any trouble with the police. Best wishes.

how long is the blade? is 11cm the whole thing with handle or the blade?

the blade is 100mm long. extremely useful for picnics or snacks in a glovebox. the total open length is 230mm.

I agree. The knife does not appear to have a serrated edge. Unless it is so fine as to be invisible. However, I have been very pleased with it as it is very sharp in use. Perhaps a little expensive though.

Does this count as a lock knife, in terms of UK law? They define that as having a button, spring or catch that you have to use to fold the knife.

it is a lock knife and the blade is over 3 inch long that makes it illegal to carry in public on both counts. put it in your glove box and use it for picnics and car meals. a nice handy knife to have. affordable quality.
