The metal plate and frame are robust and the snap spring (behind) has just the right amount of tensility! I spent a lot of time searching for a brass or brass colored letter-box plate rather than a fiberglass one offline, but its kinda outdated now. Somehow stumbled upon this fine piece here on desertcart. I meticulously took and verified the measurements till the last millimeter for both the plate listed here as well as in the old granite slab. Measure twice before chosing the variant of the plate over the design/color. So, do not take my review as an all-fit basis if you are looking to fit this into an already built spot.
