I have extremely curly hair that is very long and I often like to wear it in French braids. Since it must be braided wet, I ordered this gel to help keep it smooth and hold the braids for longer than just a day or two. I find it to be very effective in helping to hold the braids for more than 3 days after which I start the process again. It's effective without being greasy but it does provide some conditioning. It keeps my braids smooth and since the unbraided parts of my hair are curly, the curls hold as well. I don't find the gel to be sticky at all, so it's great for helping to style curly hair and for braids alike. I'm sold on this product and will purchase it again as soon as I run out! Oh, it also has a nice clean smell without being overly coconutty or sweet! My husband loves the way it smells and he does not like coconuts, so I think we're good there.

Eco Style Coconut Oil Styling Gel is truly weightless and gives my curls a nice, moisturized hold without any flakes. It adds shine and definition without making my hair feel heavy or crunchy. The only downside for me is the price as it feels a bit high for the size. Otherwise, it works great.

Soft and non flaky

Very small should read ozs before purchasing. Love the smell will buy bigger size. Works with curly hair

I have been a fan of eco gels for my curly 2b/2c hair for a long time. I loved the olive oil and the black castor oil ones, but when I kicked the hair dye they turned my silver/gray streaks a greenish yellowish tint. I tried the Krystal Clear one but that made my scalp itchy. I've only tried the coconut oil once and I'm in love. As with the other types of ecogel I had to use a decent amount to coat my hair. I use a diffuser to dry part way then air-dry the rest. When it's fully dry I scrunch out any stiff parts and my hair is wavy/curly shiny and soft. The scent is lovely. My only complaint is the price. The other jars are double the size for the same price (not sure if the coconut oil makes it more expensive?). It's also more challenging to find. Sally's doesn't carry it (or any other physical store) so my only options are here or directly from Eco. Other than that this product is highly recommended.

I purchase this item for my wife, she has thin hair but loves the fact it works well with out getting to stiff or crusty. The coconut oil makes her hair feel healthy. I will by a 3rd when ready

Smaller bottle than I expected

The gel gives good hold without feeling crunchy or flaky, and the coconut scent is pleasant without being overpowering. It works well for defining curls, smoothing edges, or keeping hairstyles in place throughout the day. I’ve found it especially useful when I want light to medium hold without stiffness. It rinses out easily and doesn’t leave behind a sticky residue, which I appreciate. If you prefer ultra-strong hold gels, this might feel a bit light, but for everyday styling and natural looks, it does the job well.
