Does this version have the terminals for "modulating controls" they are three terminals on the right labelled Analogue/Digital

I have no idea as my older heatstore ch setup is purely a pump on off switch from Tado thermostat. Check the Tado website it has exhaustive details of connection to many different boiler makes/models

Can this be used to wirelessly control the temperature of a zone that already has a Tado hooked up to a combi-boiler?

It can be used to wirelessly control the temperature of ROOM within a zone that is already managed by a Tado zone controller / internet bridge pairing. It measures the room temperature instead of the TRV(s) in that room, and thus regulates the temperature of that room far more accurately than a TRV alone can because it’s not screwed directly onto a 60c heat source.
