I do like this pre shave oil.it is applied first and then a good quality shaving cream, I use Taylor’s of old Bond st & I use a cut throat razor, so it needs to glide across the skin. I find this oil really works well and leaves my skin felling great after shaving with no razor burn. It seems a little expensive at first look but quality is worth the extra little bit of money. I recommend trying it.

I use this all the time, it smells gorgeous and does exactly what it says it does.

Gentle scent and good lubrication. Effective : 5 squirts and a bit of water rubbed into shave area allows a clean and smooth shave. Not quite as effective as American Crew shave oil which howevever has a clear smell of eucalyptus. I have and use both very happily.

The oil is dispersed in a convenient dispenser bottle , which when smelt is obviously partially olive oil based ( virgin olive oil used for cooking perhaps?)… despite this once a smooth sheen and skin softening is produced and a quality shaving cream is applied on top it definitely enables a safer smoother effortless shave especially using safety razors

This is a great product. From the first use I was able to get a more comfortable and closer shave with no soreness and far less noticeable redness than before. I use Wilkinson Sword razor blades and Taylors of Old Bond Street shaving cream which are better for me than most other shaving gear, but as my beard stubble is tough and I have sensitive skin it's been hard to get a close shave without nicks and soreness. Using this Viking pre shave oil and applying the shaving cream on top of it has resulted in an easier, closer and smoother shave with no soreness. The only other product that was this good was a Decleor serum which cost 5 or 6 times as much for less than a quarter of the amount. I highly recommend this product.

Love this product. I use it for wet and dry shaving. Nice quality oil and just the right oil ratio for a soft shave. Only one thing is there's very little scent of sandlewood or any smell but still aids a quality shave.

Gives a good shave but where’s the sandalwood aroma? Doesn’t smell of anything.

After many years of wet shaving it is only recently that I started to use pre shave oil and boy you can certainly tell the dif. If you want a good smooth long lasting wet shave then give the pre shave oils a chance. To use wet the area to shave while showering,dry the area and then apply the oil before your chosen cream/foam. It is like using a new blade every time. For me it has reduced the razor irritation and made the shave last longer. A very useful product in the chasing for a good clean shave.
