Didn't want some industrial looking thing make my kitchen look like an office kitchenette
Its exactly what I wanted an inexpensive homey looking water dispenser. Didn't want some industrial looking thing make my kitchen look like an office kitchenette. Almost disappears in the corner. I bought the wood base with it and I would recommend wood glue to make sure it is steady and doesn't wobble. The plastic spigot feels fragile and cheap. It was easy to install the wrong way causing a leak for a little bit. I imagine someone giving the spigot to hard a yank and it would break. I will probably upgrade to a steel spigot in the future.

Purchase the metal replacement spout
The first one shipped broken without any packing popcorn. The second one was fine. The spout is complete crap because it’s plastic and the flow of water takes forever to fill up a 32oz bottle. Definitely order the metal replacement spout and canister top. Doesn’t leak, but...if you use water bottles that have a place to puncture the middle this is not the product for you. I have to take a knife and cut the entire green wax cover off before placing the bottle in place. This causes many water spills. However I absolutely love this product because I really wanted the green stripe vs the blue. I see the blue everywhere and I love being different.

.I am very happy with my purchase.
The ceramic water dispenser is just beautiful. .the spigot is somewhat cheap, so i ordered a stainless steel spigot from a different seller. it doesn't fit. so ii'm using the spigot that came with the crock and it works just fine, no leaks etc. The crock is quite large but looks nice on my kitchen counter.I am very happy with my purchase. a separate water bottle that sits on top is unnecessary, just go to the store and buy a gallon , or two, of spring water and pour it in the crock, no other purchase for the crock is needed. i already have a lid from another small crock so i use that .

It’s not solid.
What do I mean by that? The lever/spigot are not well made and are loose in the hole and it requires a dish underneath it to catch drips. The carafe is thin too. I have one that I purchased about 15 years ago and it is solid with a quality spigot. I felt bad giving this as a gift to my son and daughter-in-law. It’s still much better than using single use bottles.

Looks very nice in my kitchen!
Just delivered today, shipped and packaged well. My stripe has a slight smudge, which won't affect its use. However, it would drive my OCD family crazy seeing it everyday. Therefore, we covered it with the thermometer instead of trying to return it at this time. I purchased a stainless steel spigot to use instead of the plastic one as I read negative reviews on leakage and added it right away. Will update if anything leaks or malfunctions. So far no issues.

Love that this is lead and BPA free
Love that this is lead and BPA free. Spent a bit extra to get a quality stainless spigot to replace the stock plastic spigot (never gave it a chance so I can't rate that component... no plastic ... no chance of BPA right?). Also bought a separate lid. As a complete upgraded unit this has been fantastic. I use this as a water station in my home gym. 2.5 gallons of refreshing cool water available when I need to rehydrate while working out. Very happy with this as a option in my home gym. The stock plastic spigot would probably have been fine... replacing it was just my preference.

Good crock, definitly worth the money
This is perfect for dispensing tea or lemonade at cookouts. I just wish that a cover came with it. I replaced the cheap plastic spigot with a stainless steel unit. This is not a ding; all of them come with the plastic spigots. There should be an option to upgrade to stainless steel with the purchase.

Crock Leaks
No water leaks from the spigot, but the bottom of the crock leaks. This is the second one I've purchased that leaks. The other I ordered from Blue Wave made by another manufacturer also leaks.
