Cedar Ridge Hearth Vent-Free Natural Gas or Liquid Propane Gas Stove - 25,000 BTU, T-Stat, Model CRHQD250TA Works great! The only drawback is that my wife thinks it's ugly and inexpensive looking. Well, it is inexpensive compared to a $3,000.00 vent less gas stove. This stove does the job at 1/6th the price of a cast-iron 25,000 BTU stove. The fire looks great and with the optional fan added it puts out the heat! I have to give it Five stars. My wife gets to deduct the one star for looks. So, Four Stars it is.

Have used it through one winter and it works well. The log placement in it allows you to see the burners. That is probably my only complaint. We are pleased with it.

Easy setup. Warms our rec room nicely. Controls are right up front, easy to access -- but be careful raising thermostat, as your face could be near the heat when the heater lights.

We love it - the next best thing to a "real" fireplace. Gives you that warm, cozy feeling and heats a room quickly. The only thing negative I could say is that the open flame uses gas faster than our brick gas heater, but worth it!

We’ve had it for about a year now and we love it. Heats our large upstairs master suite nicely on low heat.
