It's a relatively loose fitting 3/4 sleeve garment in the style of older Japanese house coats, so particulars of size shouldn't be too big of an issue as clothing of this style typically masked body shape anyway unless you have a large beer belly. I'm about 6ft 170lbs with broad shoulders and I'm wearing an M with the sleeves being a bit closer to half sleeves and the length fitting like a normal shirt, so for someone your height and build, you might have more of the authentic fitting. I like it a little tighter because I wear it around the house to keep me just the right temperature, but give me the air flow and flexibility to do things like wash my hands or wash dishes without getting wet sleeves. Looser probably looks better than tighter with something of this style though. Unlike a lot of clothes you see modeled on Amazon, the pics with the models are very much how they will look. I believe it did shrink a bit in the wash, so that is something to consider too.

This fabric is a cotton-linen blend, and if you wash it in anything other than cold water, it will, like all linen, shrink to a handkerchief. It is a soft fabric that should be treated like a delicate garment, so hand washing when needed, in only cold water, will prevent it from fading and keep it looking like new for years to come. And, you will love both the look and feel of this kimono jacket once you put it on. A washing machine will eventually tear this jacket and fade the black. Hand washing is easy and quick. The quality is as expected from the price which is slightly below average, it feels like it could easily torn apart. The colour isn't as saturated as the product preview. Tips for everyone who wanted to give it a try, buy the size that is twice your size because their size measurement is based on Japanese people who has smaller build.

Okay first things first, these are great. Thin enough for comfort but thick enough to not feel cheap. Stylish and plenty of options to choose from. However I do highly suggest to order twice the size. . . . Remember that this is outer wear. It goes over your T-Shirt. To make it easier for you on how to choose your size for this here's how to know: If you wear a Small T-Shirt order a Large If you wear a Medium T-Shirt order and X-Large If you wear a Large T-Shirt order an XX-Large And so on and so fourth. To get the baggy Kimono look, you need to order double the size. I wear Large T-Shirts so I thought an X-Large would've been enough but no it was baggy but not baggy enough, felt a bit tight around the shoulders and didn't even go hang over the T-Shirt (near the waist) . . This is a great product but you just have to know how to order it and if you've read this review, I hope it helped. I ordered an XX-Large after the X-Large and the XX fits way better. I am very satisfied with my purchase

Bad fit. Proportions not as advertised.

Proportions of the product do not match the image. Its just a bad cut overall and the fit is terrible. Firstly they are wider than they are long, not at all as shown in the image. The overall length is far too short. Im not even a tall guy at 5'7, the XL sits at my waist. Its just a very bad fit and doesnt compliment the style at all. The fit is more comparable to a button up t shirt, rather than a cardigan or kimono as described. I don't think I'll be wearing this at all.
