VEGAS Pro 14 Edit – Professional video editing

I've moved up from Windows Movie Maker and this software has quite a learning curve. However, the features that it has is well worth the time and effort to learn the software. My videos (YouTube) are now what I've always wanted them to be—and it's getting better with each video. Would definitely recommend this editing software.

If you want use gif, do not get this product, and look somewhere else. Other than that... love it.

Disappointed...

A great product and the last version before Magix redid the GUI. Sony Vegas Pro is the best Prosumer editor ever invented. Once learned you see how CONVENIENT, FAST and POWERFUL it is to use. It's just not 10 bit color nor is it 1080-60p output.

Ken Hinson, Owner Concept Images - Webcaster & Content Producer __________________________________________ This is going to be sort of a difficult review for me to write, first because I'm a long time user of Vegas Movie Studio, and second because I have history with Magix software before and after they purchased Xara graphic software, so I know of their dedication to quality software is sincere. Allow me to begin by saying , Magix is not Sony, they both produce some great software programs, but that's where the similarity ends. This is not Sony's Movie Studio Platinum 13 or Vegas Pro 13, it is the New Magix Vegas Pro 14 as well all know. Keeping that in mind I look at the new Vegas Pro 14 to be in its Magix infant stages, but I like to think of it more like the infant stage on STERIODS! Vegas Pro 14 has some great stuff to offer, H.265 Render options, ProRes 422 Native Support - just drop it in the timeline and start editing, you can increase Velocity by 1000% and play it back in your Preview Window, there is a new scrubber feature in the Trimmer, and something I really love is the fact that that I can rename my JVC video files from TOD to M2T and Vegas Pro 14 loads them in both the trimmer and timeline with no fuss - allowing me to totally skip any conversion downtime. Now, regarding the issues of Plug-ins and Add-ons with the New Magix Vegas Pro 14 (personal observation here), I know some of you have been a bit frustrated by not being able to find or use some of your Plug-ins and other Add-ons that worked with MSP 13 and VP 13, Lord knows I have, but that seems to be the case every time software programs are sold to a new company. Granted, I don't have any official word on this, but have you noticed that the Plug-ins and Add-ons that Sony used to offer on their website are totally absent from the Magix website? It looks to me like Magix bought all of Sony's video and audio Software but not necessarily all of the bells and whistles we know and love, or not as of yet. Do I or would I recommend this software to a friend or fellow video enthusiast? I would in a New York minute! My reasons are varied, but just to own the program out right without any subscription works for me. I'm old school and I'm loyal to the software I learned my trade with, so yes I recommend Magix Vegas Pro 14, even with the snags and hiccups it has today. My side bar to those of you who have ver-13 and it's doing everything you need it to do now, stay with it. And, those of you who want to purchase new right now, but are a bit unsure about VP 14, then download the TRIAL VERSION and give it a test drive. Well, that's my thoughts and takes on Magix Vegas Pro 14 as of today, my 30 day trial ends this weekend, but it served its purpose to help me decide it is time for me to move up from Movie Studio Platinum to Vegas Pro. I have tried multiple times to install this software on two separate machines (WITH internet<----a ridiculous requirement - why not just use a key or something similar?) and it wouldn't install. I contacted the "Support" people and their reply was that "sorry we don't offer verification without an internet connection". That was kinda it, no other assistance just, sorry we don't offer that even though you paid good money for our product. I emailed them back today regarding needing another way to install. So- - if you buy this know that you will NOT be able to install on a machine without an internet connection. Also, in my case, I TRIED to install on two machines (even with an internet connection) and still couldn't get it to install. My two cents? They need to figure out their installations for people without internet. They also need to have better product support.

Awesome editing software...was a bit confusing but thanks to Youtube make it easier, I use it for my gaming videos.
