Way more than auto correction
Great potential, you really can modify all sources of audio. Is it 100% perfect, no, but it's about as close you can get to it at the moment. There are enough technical reviews out there so I don't need to add to that. If you're prepared to put the work it you'll get the results.

Nothing like it. There is a learning curve, but it achieves miracles.
Unique product. Nothing else like it. It is not EASY to use, but that's because there is nothing to which it compares. It requires a totally different mindset than other music software.

$100 cheaper than the one on the official site. CD encased which installs Melodyne, contains an activation code to be used on the site.

Much Improved from Melodyne 3, but very buggy
Melodyne 4 has ARA which means you don't have to transfer in each piece of audio like you use to. If you changed one word in the old version, it was a hassle to go back and re-transfer and re-tune everything. It wasted a lot of time.However, all the bugs are not worked out yet. The biggest issue is when put on a track it is supposed to read the audio and insert it automatically when played. Often, it doesn't and your stuck trying to figure out how to get the audio to show up. Perhaps in another few updates, they will have worked it out. It works 2/3 of the time, so it is worth having, but be prepared for some bugs.
