If there is already a 7 pin connector on trailer this will connect? Worried about male to female pins

This adapter is for the vehicle side to go from 7 pin to 5 or 4 pin to use with a trailer with either 5 or 4 way wringing. You can not go from 4 or 5 pin on the vehicle to 7 way trailer wiring as your trailer will not get all the functions it needs. Mainly electronic breaks.

Can I run an led lisence plate light off of this adapter?

If you can run side marker running lights on a trailer, I am sure you could tap into those.

Can i haul a trailer with electric brakes

This will not run electric brakes. It only has 5 of the seven connecting tabs. Two of them are missing, one of which operates the electric brakes

Works well

I have only used the 4 and 5 connectors, but it has worked well when I have used it. It appears to be well made and fits well. Overall I am happy with it and it is a good value for the money. Only time will tell how durable it is.

Needed for my 2024 VW Atlas

This adapter is a must have for most newer vehicles while using older trailers. This single adapter allowed my horse trailer and utility trailer to work perfectly using this 1 device. Extremely simple to install as you only need to plug it into your vehicle and then attach your wiring to it. It poured down rain for 2 days straight and I forgot to unplug the adapter from my vehicle. Used the utility trailer the following day with no issues whatsoever. Fantastic buy!

Just what I needed

Adapter for 4 wire trailer to 7 pin plug on vehicle

I use this on our motor home to adapt the 7 pin adapter that is built in to the 4 pin light connector on our tow dolly. Fits perfectly. Easy to use, and has stood up well over the several thousand miles it has been used so far.
