Wow! Classic style / normal looking leash in the Ad, but "Classy" in person. I chose THIS leash because the price was right and reviews were great - for large dogs, chewers, and overall leash durability. "THANK YOU" to those that posted reviews!!!I have no clue what a 2mm, 3mm, etc chain size is and frankly I'm too busy to research. All I knew was that we needed something stronger than a cloth leash, longer than the 4ft's typically found at the store, and affordable... Took a chance.Received it. Woops. I was afraid hubby would clock me because the chain is really heavy and has rather large links (compared to regular store leashes). Instead he said, "This is really nice! Great job!" Whew. LOLIt IS a sturdy leash... in all aspects.Opie is an energetic (and strong) Smooth Collie / Australian Cattle Dog mix, currently just over 50lbs at 9mo old. Walking has been a nightmare with pulling and darn near 'dragging' me behind him. Leash training has been next to impossible. I've used this new leash a couple of times so far and he's already much easier to handle. Does he feel my confidence in the strength of the leash? Or maybe he feels more proud, like a 'Champ on a Chain' rather than a 'Dope on a Rope' now that he has a REAL leash to sport? haha. Oh, the handle... really nice! Heavy ribbed durable material.Thanks again to all those that gave the great reviews.And thanks to Pet Champion for such a great product at an affordable price. You've given my puppy a 'new leash on life'.Gotta go... Time for his walk! :-)

l didn’t understand the measurement of thickness this chain leash is...NO dog is going to eat this leash...Love it for a large dog... Its very sturdy.I think It’s durability will make it last forever...It’s incredibly thick & strong with a very comfortable handle. My doggie kid loves to eat his leashes lol. I ordered this chain leash to avoid him eating it.. However I’m guessing I didn’t understand the thickness description. I personally can’t use it because it’s too thick & heavy for my 13lbs rescue doggie. Im not going to return it because it’s my fault that I didn’t understand the thickness on its description. So since I don’t want it to happen to other dog parent I wanted to give you a heads up. It’s not for small dogs...The price is great considering the quality of leash.

Wow!!!! Wasnt expecting such high quality at all. These metal chains are really heavy worth the money. My only complaint is the wristband thing is really thin. I'm gonna find a way to thicken by wrapping some cloth around it No-biggie thou. My 5 month husky is any where from 40-45 pounds.Update 1-6-19I had to wrap this thing around a cloth leash to be able to handle handle my dog when he pulls me extremely hard as if he's going to rip my arm out of the socket. Due to the fact he's a Husky and all that but this made it a lot more manageable because the little cloth on it does nothing and then wrapping the chain around my hand to keep him from darting off was hurting me. Long story short wrap something around it and it'll be more manageable for you in the long run

I was attempting to replace a leash we had lost. This one is about 10x heavier! It weighs down my poor 20# dog. We wanted a metal chain because he was chewing through his fiber ones and need to be confined from jumping and running for a while. It made me laugh when it arrived. It will be perfect for a large dog, or one who really pulls. The only real complaint I have is I didn’t get to choose the color of the grip. My boy was not pleased with the hot pink on his leash. (Just kidding). It is a good and durable leash.

This is very good quality I got this for my puppy because she like play with her leashes as toys lol. And she ripped 3 of them. She walks good on leash but she just thinks everything is a toy. And she tried to play with this but she doesn’t find it fun!! So that’s great. I loved the quality so I ordered another one for my pitt too. They look very nice and in my opinion not that heavy if you have a big dog, definitely not for a small one!! For reference my puppy is 68lbs and my Pitt is 60lbs

This product was not described as this very heavy chain. It cannot be used sucessfully in training a young altho large puppy. Dissapointed ,it is well made but not what we had hoped for.

I cant even believe how great this leash is for under $10. Its better that the one I bought at Petco for $25. My dog chews through fabric leashes and has been known to break many leashes so I got this but wasn't expecting it to be great since the price was like $8 but I was so happy when it came and compared it to the $25 leash from Petco and hands down this $8 leash is better made, heavier, there is no way my dog will be able to break this one!

Bought this for use during indoor training for my puppy who is about 12lbs right now. We’re limiting her range when she’s “free” in the rest of the house while we’re still potty training and carefully watching interactions between her and my toddler. This leash is durable and she can’t destroy it if she starts chewing. I agree with others that it’s heavier than I expected but for what we need it works and it slows her down a bit!

My german shepherd was chewing any other fabric leash. This helped me train him in that regards. I can see why some people would purchase a 4 foot leash (5 feet may be too long for some people) however when you purchase a 5 foot leash it makes your life and the dogs life a little bit easier because here she likes to sniff around a bit further away at times from the owner. Chain is heavy however its not an issue for a large dog.

Yes, I get it's a chain, but I didn't think it would have been as heavy as it was. Although, you can take that as a sign of quality and sturdiness, so it's not necessarily a bad thing.Maybe get this for a bigger dog.

Very good quality and very heavy-duty chain. Only reason I gave it for flowers instead of five is because it would have been nicer with a leather handle instead of a cheap nylon handle.

If you need a heavy duty leash- this is it. I wouldn’t use it on the regular for a walk with our dog because it is so heavy and it hurts my hands- but she’s a chewer and she won’t chew through this!

Well made, just unexpectedly heavier than anticipated. I'd recommend it if you want a sturdier leash. We bought it because our dog would chew through the other leashes. He definitely won't be getting through this one.
