Love these but STRUGGLED with sizing
My 90s self would be so proud of this purchase, as a Gen X I think we get to claim Dr Martens as cultural heritage.I love the look of this boot. I love the fur lining, they are comfortable to wear, and they can be styled with different outfits. I’m really thrilled with this purchase! But I STRUGGLED with the sizing of these shoes. I’m a 7.5 and I generally prefer a tight fit for my shoes, I hate feeling like my foot is floating around in a shoe. But I also need the shoe to be comfortable. So I really struggled with what size to get. Dr Marten’s website recommends ordering a size down.i measure my foot. At anround 9.6 in I should have been good with a 7. And there is a lot of information on the web about how to break in Dr Martens and since they are leather, they are supposed to loosen up over time. I read Amazon reviews about other’s experiences. Most 7.5 people ordered the 8. My husband just bought himself a new pair of cowboy boots and exchanged them for a smaller size because leather stretches. And he broke his boots in and advised me to go smaller. So I ordered the 7. I followed the recommendations about breaking them in. Plus there’s faux fur lining and I figured the fur would flatten out with use. I basically wore them in the house for a little bit at a time and put a small water bottle in the shoe at night to help stretch out the toe box and the dorsal foot piece. There is no insert in this version of Dr Martens with the fur lining, so disregard that. Some people said taking the insert out helped break them in but it must’ve been referencing a different style of shoe. After a couple of days my right foot was still tingling and sightly squished, so I panicked and decided I’d ordered the wrong size after all, and ordered the 8. I put the 8 on and my toes were immediately happier but I have pretty thin ankles and my ankle were now swimming around in the boot. The length was a little too big. My foot was moving a little bit. The socks were falling a bit and the ankle boot was rubbing my skin. They just looked bigger clunkier and oversized. Not as cute as the 7s. I figured if the leather broke in and the fur flattened out they’d be even bigger. I went back and forth multiple times on which size to keep. I finally decided on the 7. I dug in to the breaking in process and a few days in I’ve noticed an improved already. I’ve been in them all day today and I’m fine. It was a process. Buying shoes on the internet is not easy. Hopefully some of this info is helpful to someone though!Buy them, wear them, love them, and be your bada$$ self 😝.

Funky and forever stylish
Funky and functional! I wore docs in HS. I’m 50 now and these were less bulky than my originals. The black with cream fur were easy to style and super cute.

Size 10 Lenore Chelsea Boot fits perfectly
I was considering purchasing the Thursday' Rugged and Resilient' boots for winter. I initially wanted Dr. Martens, but I was unsure about the size and fit. Reading the reviews didn’t provide much clarity. I decided to take a chance and ordered a size 10, which is my usual shoe size. To my surprise, the size 10 fit perfectly right out of the box—there was no need for a breaking-in period. I tried them on with my thick socks, and they were just right! I'm so glad I didn't opt for a size 11.

Stylish. Convenient. Comfortable size down.
Love love love. I have the lace ups which are great but I love these even more. The slip on is great & efficient as well as stylish and comfortable. I recommend buying a product to help break the leather in as the first week can be a little tight/uncomfortable. (Make sure the product is specifically/safe for this brand of boot) I usually wear a 9 1/2 but I got a nine and they fit great. 10/10 recommend.

Warm and Comfortable
These boots are amazing! Comfortable right out of the box. Warm and cozy. First time I wore them was for about 4 hours and zero break in needed. I have high arches and I can still pop them on without much difficulty. They feel supportive but not too tight. The length and toe box area are perfect. I went one size up from my normal Doc size to accommodate for the fur and heavy socks.I get lots of compliments when I wear these boots. I absolutely love these for winter and to wear to the rink to watch my sons hockey games.

Great fit and warm
These are light weight for what I was expecting, and not narrow. Little snug with a regular daily compression sock. But comfortable snug. I am a 6.5 and bought a 7. No slip in the heel or toe area, wide enough, but not too wide. There is a little pressure if you have anything close to a bunyon. Half size up was perfect + nice and warm. After these get a little more in, will probably break in and be even more comfortable,

Unsure, but giving them a shot!
I’m moving to the east coast in the spring and need a warm, waterproof boot for regular wear. After trying three sizes of Blundstones, I admitted that the brand & style were just not for me. I almost gave up on the idea of having a Chelsea boot that I actually thought was cute.I found these and ordered my regular size (9, sometimes 9.5 in hiking shoes). The 9s arrived and while they slipped on relatively easily, they were so tight that my feet were numb after wearing them for about 5 minutes in the house. My toes were also jammed against the toe box.I ordered a 10 since a 9.5 wasn’t available. These are about 1/2 an inch from my big toe to the edge of the shoe but feel a lot better than the 9s. They seem to have a little slip in the heel and I know they’ll stretch over time but I’m willing to risk that and just wear 2 pairs of socks if necessary rather than feel stuck with boots that are uncomfortably tight. This is my first pair of Docs so I assumed they’d be heavier than they are, so that’s another plus!

Sizing
I’m a women’s true size 9 (US). I order theses boots in a size 9 based on reviews. The shoes fit more like a size 9 1/2. With thick socks (like footies) they feel perfect. With two pairs of socks (I wore a pair of athletic ankle socks AND a pair of cotton “winter” socks) they are a bit snug ( but not unbearable) and end up making my toes cold because of circulation yadee yada (in 20 degree weather)They keep feet warm and dry. They also look sharp AF! Definitely a keeper!
