Dr. Infrared Heater Portable Space Heater, 2 Pack, 1500-Watt

Update: we bought a plug for our outlets to turn off with overheating and everything is now working just fine. I thought this was perfect. Today I started smelling plastic burning and the plug and cord was so hot it actually burned my palm when I was trying to un plus this. It works but this is dangerous. I saw others say the same. I posted a pic showing it burned me between thumb and index finger. It was probably 1 hour ago so it hasn’t blistered yet

We've been using these (2 of them) for a couple months. The electric bill was not as high as last year using separate space heaters. There's one at one end of the manufactured home and the other at opposite end separated by about 60 feet. I use 3 ceiling fans running on low speed to draw air up and ithroughout the house. That seems to work pretty well. Hadn't tried them without the ceiling fans. They're quiet. We're in extreme N. Arizona and Winter hasn't been very "usual" yet. It usually gets down to single or very low double digits.. more Winter to come so we'll see. Minus is that if you have a power failure: you'll have to power up and reset the temp etc again. Don't come back on nor return to original settings. Easy to clean the filters. Good product to date.

It works EXACTLY as described. Could not be happier with the product.Our energy bills plummeted as we used this to heat our son's small bedroom at night during the winter vs. using the central heat. We no longer had to heat that entire wing of the house just to keep his small bedroom warm.

I purchased the dual heaters for 240, rather than buying two single heaters for 140 each. When i received my heaters I soon found they didnt have humidifiers. They shouldn't have the option of buying the dual heaters when viewing the humidifier heaters if they were not humidifiers also. I could have saved money buying two normal heaters for 110 each (which is not what i wanted). Please fix this.

This heater is running on "auto" in a 50x20 room (living-dining-kitchen) set to 70F. It's 50F outside, and my back door is cracked open a foot 24/7 for the cat. But I was toasty warm all night long. I even had to turn the temp down when I woke up. I had problems at first with the heat only running 20-30 seconds at a time, but that was because the heater wasn't turned up to a high enough temp to allow for anything more than token heat. With the temp set higher, "auto" works well.

Pull so much energy. And Eletrical bills are way too high. I didn’t even turn it on all day or every day. My bill came out over 1000 for 2 months that I used that product. This year I stop using it. I got my heat fixed. I had my heat on everyday now. My bill is 30% less

I bought the 2 pack for my basement that is always a bit cold. 1 for the den area where we watch TV all the time (~15x25' room) and one for the bar/rec room. I used to use a tower heater in the den and we'd always be covered in blankets despite the house heat set to 72 upstairs and the space heater on just feet away. With just the one Dr Infrared on in the den (which doesn't completely close off from the rest of the basement) I don't need blankets anymore while watching TV! fantastic!.

I have a 4K sf house and used three of these to heat the place instead of my heat pumps (3 of them). My electric was the highest it has ever been, so I'm going to have to put these in storage.

These are sold as energy efficient. I used them for one month and my hydro bill quadrupled. My space I heated was 850 square feet. I used two and both on econo. I would absolutely not recommend these and am exceptionally upset with the falsified advertising.
