I recently decided to upgrade my toiletry kit to a new one. Compactness was very important to me because I travel frequently and want to get as much into my carry-on suitcase as possible. So I went through the trouble of purchasing 5 different bags to make my selection.This bag from Victorinox almost made the final selection. It's attractive, compact, can be hung if desired, and is laid out fairly well. In the end, however, it just didn't contain enough space to handle all of my items (and I'm a fairly light toiletry kit packer). Some of the clear zippered compartments were very tight (I'm not sure what toiletries would fit into those spaces), and there were many unnecessary storage compartments that ultimately took up real estate that should have been occupied by my toiletry items.I ended up surprising myself by selecting a low cost item from an unknown brand that seemed to work really well for my specific purposes.If you are an extremely efficient toiletry packer and only need the very basic items, then this one may work for you. But if you need some extras (such as collar stays, floss sticks, etc) then you are likely to find that this one doesn't work for you.As a point of reference, here's what I put into my kit:* Shampoo (small TSA approved container)* Lotion (same container as shampoo)* Deodorant (small travel size)* Shaving cream (small travel size)* Hair stuff (very small size - about 20% of the size of my shampoo)* Beard stuff (same as above)* Collar stays* Toothpaste (small travel size)* Toothbrush (standard size - non-electric)* Plastic Flossers* Q-tips (travel size)* Small pack of pills (very small - about the size of the hair stuff)

I have had the old version of this for many years. I wanted to split by toiletries for travel that is not on a plane. So ordered this. It is just not that well organized and a bit smaller. The pouches a are a bit too small to put things in them like deodorant.

It's kind of small for a average use... Smaller then I'd realized.But the construction is great, as it always is with VictorInox products
