Can thus gate be used with 6" pvc waste pie with a true 6" isd diameter.

I have the 4" version. It fits thin-wall PVC drain pipe well. I use a bit of caulking and run screws through the pipe and flange to make sure it doesn't come apart.

using 26 gauge metal ducting will this fit well?

I used exactly two layers of duct tape for a snug fit on 26 gauge duct fittings, and then used a 5-7" duct clamp. 1 layer is not enough and 3 gets squished off during the connection.
