This is the only safe solution for socket testing, as other testers can indicate as safe a socket with a dangerously high earth resistance. The Martindale EZ150 was the first socket tester to include measurement of earth loop impedance. Conventional socket testers will only indicate the presence of an earth, however if the socket has a dangerously high earth resistance, they will not be able to identify this. Using the EZ150 gives you the peace of mind that not only is the socket wired correctly, but also the earth resistance is within acceptable levels. Martindale's T-Safe technology is incorporated into the EZ150, in order to ensure that RCDs will not trip when the loop impedance check is carried out.
