Lasts longer than normal abrasive cut off wheels.
The 5/8” armor hole was not accurate and would not fit my Makita right angle grinder. Had to file the arbor hole a little to make it fit my 5/8” arbor. Once done wheel cuts normally and does last much longer than other abrasive wheels if used.

BAD TO THE BONE!
The last one i had i cut i don't know how much metal before it finally went dull. They seem a little pricey but holy cow these things work and like i say when i look back at all the cutting i did, they're very well worth it

Not 1,000 cuts, but more like 30+ though rebar
We used this blade on a grinder to cut 5/8" rebar. Blade wore out after 30 or so cuts. It also cuts slower through the steel then the thin abrasive blades that cost $3-$4 each. Those blades go through steel rebar much quicker because they are removing much less material. Yes the abrasive blades will cut less, probably around 10 or so rebar, and yes the diamond blade will probably not break were the thin abrasive blades are much more likely to shatter on you, and get smaller with each cut. These diamond blades can also get confused with concrete cutting wheels (some of my employees did this). If safety is your main goal, and you are not careful while cutting, you should get this blade. If speed and availability is the main concern, probably use the abrasive blades as they are found everywhere.

I will never buy a composite cut off wheel ever again. These diamond cut-off wheels are 4-5x as expensive and last 20x longer. And more importantly, they don't explode if they get tweaked. We received one as a sample from a vendor and soon bought three more. We set metal door jambs, cut screws and metal forms and use these all day long. I'm a union carpenter and safety rep for a large construction company and these are all I'll recommend.I only give 5 stars to really good stuff.

Everything they claimed
Saved me at least $70 in cutoff wheels for one sixth the price, I suspect it would have last a lot longer had I not used it for cutting a few real thick peices instead of the nail heads that I normally use it for. Needles to say I will be buying these on a regular basis.

Great cutting tool
I was putting up siding and aluminum flashing on my garage. I used this disc in my cordless grinder to cut all of it. Worked wonderfully.
