No nonsense fiber supplementation that does its job
If you're looking to supplement on the fiber front for whatever reason, this is a pretty no nonsense way to help you get more into your system. This product is not sweetened or anything like that, it's just the psyllium husks ready to mix into something. If you're looking to avoid the sweeteners that the big name products have, then you won't go wrong here. With regards to flavor, it's not tasty. If you mix it with water, it will be a little tough to get used to the taste. This product also doesn't mix very easily. If you're putting a big teaspoon into a glass of water, and trying to stir with a spoon, you're just going to get big clumps. You want to be careful to mix vigorously with a shaker cup so you don't swallow a big clump of powder as it may cause you to choke a little. To help solve the flavor problem, I mixed the supplement into a protein drink and blended everything together. The shake was a little thicker, but I found that I didn't have to deal with the taste or texture this way.I won't go into graphic detail about what this does to your digestive system, but after about a week, I found that things went very smoothly on the plumbing front and the morning constitutional became a breeze. I didn't have any strong adjustments like too much bloating or gas or anything, your mileage may vary depending upon your diet. I've made a few dietary changes and follow an exercise regimen, so lately, my cholesterol and blood pressure have come back lower from the doc. I can't say that this product was fully responsible, but it can probably take some of the credit.Bottom line, if you need a fiber supplement, this stuff does the job. I wish the taste were a bit better, but hey, nature Is what it is.Recommended.

Not a metamucil replacement
The flavor was horrible and the powder did not mix well, it clumped. I threw it away.

Love this stuff
We've been using it in conjunction with Intermittent fasting since December. Better to mix with something flavorful. We use Ghost glow. Down 22 lbs in 2 months. Hoping it aids in lowering cholesterol as well. Drink it fast. It will solidify quickly.

Make them prove to you that their product is the best out there
BulkSuppliments has always been the one GoTo company for my vitamins. One has to remember that the bulky multivitamins are almost pointless when it comes to the body absorbing everything they have to offer. The reason is that those vitamins contain such a concentrated form of the vitamin/suplement that the body cannot and does absorb it.BulkSupplements, in my opinion, has put tried to make each supplement is body absorbable as possible. And I believe that it shows… I have been taking BulkSupplements for over a year now and have noticed a huge improvement in both my mind and body. Of course it takes time for all supplements to work. They are not wonder drugs but nature’s way to make the body healthy. Please keep in mind that BulkSupplements pride themselves on the quality (and control) of their supplements. Do not be afraid to ask for a report of the product analysis for each batch they distribute. Make them prove to you that their product is the best out there. I have over 30 orders of BulkSupplements under my belt. Their product is the best!

That coupled with getting older and blood tests coming back with too much bad cholesterol sent me on my fiber hunt
The more I read about healthy diets, the more nutirents my food tracker tells me I'm missing. As healthy as I try to eat, my diet is woefully short on fiber. That coupled with getting older and blood tests coming back with too much bad cholesterol sent me on my fiber hunt. I tried capsules from another source and they were effective but it was a bit cumbersome ingesting so many capsules. I mix a TBSP of this with MSM , Garcinia Cambogia (both from Bulk Supplements), and some flavored water and drink as a mid morning snack to avoid any interaction with my thyroid pills and to stave off any munchies. If you're taking fiber to help with plumbing issues... this is far more effective than the capsules, but not in a way that affects daily activities. As others have said, drink this right away. I put 4 ounces of water in my shaker, add powders, and top off with 4 more oz. Shake the sin out of it and chug it down.

Good psyllium powder
Very good quality psyllium husk powder. I wanted to try some mixed in either my protein shake or my superfood, and it mixes well in a shaker. I have not tried stirring it into anything as I would Metamucil, so I can't speak for that. It seems to have more effect than Metamucil, I've reduced my dosage to less than a teaspoon for this reason. It's probably because it's not got the aspartame and other fillers in that teaspoon of Metamucil I normally take, so a teaspoon does go a lot further. I will continue to purchase this. Wish the bags were sealed over the zip, as the zip fills up with powder before you open it and then will not close well.

Cakes up & Compressed…
I could take the fact that is doesnt have any flavor but, this stuff cakes up doesnt disolve at all & u have to choke it down basically. I tested it & left it in some water for a while with 2 heaping scoops & it compressed & was like gumby. I think this will back u up more than it seems to help. I would say stay away it made me worse. Not easy to prepare & I tried several liquids.

Psyllium Husk Powder may help lower cholesterol, where commercial fiber lilely does not.
I have marginally high cholesterol, and, after reviewing information on Mr. Google, I determined regular commercial fiber doesn't affect cholesterol levels, but Psyllium Husk, has been shown to lower cholesterol. I previously purchased another supplement from Bulk Supplements, and was very happy with the product, so I looked for them when shopping for this supplement. I use about a tablespoon in my whole grain Cream of Wheat each morning. After reading some of the other comments, I was afraid adding this to my Cream of Wheat would make it too thick and gelatenous. However, I find very little difference in the consistency. I also use it in other items, such as smoothies. I will monitor my overall Cholesterol levels, and see if adding this to my diet seems to make a difference. I had been using Benefiber, and was surprised to find out it hasn't been shown to lower cholesterol, where Psyllium Husk pwder, has.
