Dakine 26-Litre Jewel Pack

Bought this for my kindergartner because she had out grown her pre-school backpack. The Dakine Jewel was gigantic on a petite 5 year old. I had also purchased a Dakine Grom, and sending both bags back was difficult. My daughter was in love with this bag even though it engulfed her entire back.The interior of the bag is not just boring black or gray. You get patterns and vibrant colors. The Dakine Jewel is on the bigger side. Could see myself overloading this bag easily. It has a laptop compartment and a small insulated pocket in the front. The organizer and sunglasses pocket are great too. Very well engineered backpack!

I bought this backpack because I got a new laptop and it wouldn't fit comfortably in the sleeve of my other Dakine backpack. This works wonderfully for a longer laptop and even seems to sit better on my back because the bag itself is rather long and distributes the weight well. The only reason that this did not get five stars is the pen pocket is rather small, so having a pen pouch is necessary if you want to have more than just one or two writing utensils. The sunglasses and insulated lunch pouches are more than ample enough to forgive this slight oversight.

So sayeth humorist Russell Baker. Well, if you had this backpack, you'd only be able to take the women.I purchased this to accompany my daughter and her new, matching Dakine Wheeled Duffle to the UK. I'm not sure what she'll be able to fit into it though. It is made for thin things only. I suppose you could squeeze some thin mints into the insulated front pocket; certainly not an overstuffed sandwich for the road. You could get a few travel magazines in the main compartment, but forget having a place to stuff your sweater on the plane. It really is that thin. The glasses compartment is normal sized... although my daughters glasses are thin frames, so there's not much benefit there. I'm not sure whether I'm keeping it. Maybe I'll try one of the other Dakine options to keep a matching set.Overall, stylish, yet disappointing. Only recommended for light book duty. Not for travel or high school/college (unless you're going part time and have a light course load or only have thin, unloved books).

First off I love this brand. Great design. Great Quality. But look closely at what you need it for. If its for school and your kid is required to carry very large books, this bag is not for you.But if they only need to bring books occasionally home, then this is perfect. It works great for us. Can fit a small ultraportable class laptop, and books. Nice organizer in the front. The shoulder strap helps in reducing the weight and discomfort.You can't go wrong with this brand either. They have many different kinds and sizes. Just look up their website. Much easier to browse than using Amazon.

Like it. The only think i dont like is. It wrinkled from the store and packaging. The shape not as smooth as the picture. And it takes time to make it smooth. It has been few days i fill it with some cloth to make it in the right shape. Hope the wrinkle fade.

I love my Dakine bookbag it is roomy and has a quality feel to it, it is sturdy and i love the built in cooler it is really useful, my only complaint would be another pocket on the inside of the middle compartment and that the smaller front compartment be bigger, I can fit everything in it but it is a tight squeeze, I still love it though despite that, overall it is a really nice backpack for school.

Bigger than I originally thought but it lasted me through nursing school. Bag was well made and held up well. Laptop area was big enough to hold my 17" HP notebook.

Surprisingly roomy and can hold all my daughters school books. Would like to have seen a little more support with the straps and a little more protection foam but for the price it was a great value.

Ich habe mir den Rucksack für die Uni gekauft, da ich für meinen Studiengang auch täglich meinen Laptop dabei haben muss und der inklusive Laptophülle in einem normalen Rucksack einfach ziemlich viel Platz weg nimmt (und sehr schwer ist).Eine Kommilitonin hat das gleiche Modell, also konnte ich ihren auf Tragekomfort, etc. testen und auch die Fächer und der große Stauraum waren genau richtig für mich.Das Laptopfach schützt den Laptop gut, es passt sogar noch das Ladekabel mit rein (Laptop 15 Zoll), im großen Fach bekommt man gut sein Trinken, Block, Mäppchen und auch noch Bücher unter, ohne dass es zu voll ist.Die vordere Fächer benutze ich für allerlei Kleinzeug (Taschentücher, Bonbons, ...) und das unterste Fach mit der Isolierschicht ist mein "Vesperfach" geworden. Lustigerweise passen auch meine Dosen dort rein als sei es aufeinander abgestimmt :)Seitlich steckt manchmal noch mein Regenschirm, für kleine Flaschen kann man die Fächer auch noch nutzen, nur meine großen 1,5l Flaschen stecke ich ungern rein....Einzige Verbesserungsmöglichkeit für mich wäre im großen Fach noch eine Innentasche anzubringen für die Wertsachen.Ansonsten top Rucksack!!

Die Lieferung war innerhalb von 36 Stunden, schneller als ich erwartet hatte! Meiner Tochter gefällt das Design, mir überdies auch die geräumige Innenaufteilung! Die Verarbeitung ist auf den ersten Blick in Ordnung, hoffe, das er für das Geld auch einige Zeit aushält! Bin sehr zufrieden!

Ich fand diesen Rucksack schön und wollte einen Allrounder mit Brustgurt. Ich finde den Rucksack sehr schön, allerdings muss man bemerken, dass er sehr hoch ist! Für mich passt er gut, weil ich sehr groß bin, aber für kleine Menschen sicher ungeschickt. Ich habe aber nichts zu beklagen. Finde ihn sehr angenehm und er hat schon problemlos einige schwere Einkäufe etc mitgemacht :)

Besonders gut ist das geräumige Laptopfach, in das auch noch ein 17" Laptop mit Hülle rein passt. Auch gibt es viele kleine praktische Fächer um unterschiedlichste Dinge zu verstauen. Gesamt eine gute Qualität und angenehm zu tragen.
