What is HDX Opitimized? This is a new generation of filter engineered in France to cut out a percentage of polarized light after hitting a reflective surface. Unlike traditional polarized filters which cut out up to 99.8% of glare, HDX Optimized lenses, therefore allows a small amount of polarized light to pass through. Improving visibility allowing user to detect surface changes, to read digital displays and improve trajectory selections. The HDX Optimized lens also offers VUA/ UVB 400nm protection. At category 3 which is suitable for driving, will allow a light transmission of 17%. The lens is shatter resistant Poly-carbonate (2mm PC) designed and engineered in France. Multilayer coatings are ionically fused with HDX Optimized, scratch resistance, hydrophobic and an purple Ion coated AR (anti-reflection) on the inside of the lens to reduce eye fatigue. The frame has a 6 base face curve which will fit most faces. The durable frame is Zombie Proof TR-90 Grilamid with tough stainless steel hinges from Italy. Both frame and lens are FDA and CE certified. These awesome HDX Optimized Charlie sunglasses come complete with a cleaning pouch and a hard case. Scratched lenses and frames are considered normal wear and are not covered under warranty.
