I’d recommend this if you are a solo traveler. It’s very very very loud. I mistakenly set one off and nearly had a heart attack. So yeah it’s effective.

Purchased this because it was a cheap alternative for a friend that lives in an apartment building and can’t do any invasive changes to their door. Easy to use, very loud! Great for anyone with elderly folks or children that occasionally wander!

I really like these when we travel. Great sense of security, knowing I’ve got that tucked under the door and how sometimes these doors can be opened from the outside of the hotel rooms. Even in the Hilton, some of the locks look a little shady. These are very loud. If someone were to open your door, you would know it.

It’s very loud. It will wake u up if someone tries the door. It did scoot alittle on the laminate floor as the door opened so I put the small end into the door gap and that worked without the scooting (which could have let someone reach in and grab it…. But it’s so loud…. I don’t think anyone could think of reaching in to grab it. Unless they really wanna get in…. )

Loud but it slides with the door without triggering. Have to rig it to make it work. When you do, it will get attention for sure

The quality is very good, and the sound is very powerful; one thing is that you need to place a mat on the floor. I use one in the bedroom, which has carpet; it works and it doesn't move, but the one at the entrance doesn't work if you open the door so you need a small mat at the entrance to hold it.

Not useful. It's better to purchase motion sensor.

This device works great for hotel stays. It has a loud alarm to notify you someone has opened the door. It’s small enough to pack in your luggage taking little space. Highly recommend for travel.
