This cord worked first time plugged in & has been working for months. Easy peasy, just plug in & action! I got this as a resolution to the battery function of the nest camera as Nest aka Google stopped making corded outdoor cameras in 2020. Therefore, needed my own way to continue to use my new Google Nest outdoor battery cameras & have them function exactly the way they used to make them before 2020. This was the perfect resolution so I didn't have to climb a ladder every week. One of my battery cameras gets a lot of street motion, so I would have to climb ladder up there every few days when on just the battery option out of the box. No more climbing the ladder with this cord now! It withstands all weather, sun, wind, rain & snow. The cord is long too. It reaches easily across my pergola from the house. Don't hesitate to buy, I have been using multiples of these for months now & will save you time as I already did the research for you. 🙂

A huge time saver. I had power available so bought for all 4 of my battery cameras outside. Easy to run and no more charging regularly. We are away often on RV trips so the peace of mind is awesome, not worrying about cameras dying while away. Definitely recommended.

Great quality and have kept my google nest cameras charged 24/7 so far. Expensive but necessary. After market cables won’t charge the cams continuously. I already tried. So, save time and money trying the cheap option and go buy this from the start. You’ll thank me later.

I have 3 of my Google nest battery cameras on solar panels, 2 of them I haven't had to physically take down and charge for about 6 months bc of the awesome sun. The third one i thought well maybe the solar panel went kapooey, so I purchased another solar panel for it, no good I got a notification that my battery camera was low after 3 days. I was desperate bc I didn't want to have to switch cameras or go to other extremes. I was tired of having to get a stepstool, take down my camera, bring it inside charge it for about 2 hrs, take it back out , re mount it, over and over again about once a week. Uugh! I found this cable, read many reviews and pulled the trigger. I already had an existing hole drilled from a previous cable, so i was able to get the cable through that with much persistence to plug into a socket from inside my house. I've had it connected since June 15th 2026 with no problems whatsoever. The reason my solar panel wasn't able to keep up with the charge was due to sooo much activity in front of my house. Vehicles mainly! I am very pleased with this product so far and hopefully it continues to do its job. Absolutely recommend 👌 👍 Oh, BTW I ordered the 10m and it was plenty long enough, I probably could've orde the shorter length but figured i couldn't go wrong with it being longer.

Works as described. Connect to these cameras like it’s supposed to. Seems a bit overpriced for what it is.

I am very glad that I decided to go with a genuine Google cable instead of an aftermarket one. This cable is very well made and, as expected, fits my Nest cam perfectly. It was a bit more expensive than the off brand but I feel confident that I will not have any problems with this cable down the line. It came with several cable mounts for the cord.

I was having an issue with the battery dying too fast so I decided to get the long cord for essentially infinite battery. I’ve had this already for four months going on five and I have had no connection issues or battery issues ever again the magnet is very strong and it charges very well even when there is heavy camera traffic. Great product with great reliability, especially in this heavy weather that we get up here in Texas with the heat rain and wind.

Good quality cable you should expect from Google however came with a USA plug so a bit pointless for the UK market. This should have been mentioned in the description so I am able to make an informed choice to purchase a UK converted with it. Would be 5 stars if fitted with a UK plug for the UK market!

There are times when the cable would not supply power to the Nest Camera

If you have the Google Nest Battery Camera, this is a must have accessory. Security is a must in this day and age, and being able to see the camera when I want, without waiting for the camera to come out of Idle mode, then adjust from night to day is a must. Being able to have 24/7 video recording is also a must have. While I enjoy the flexibility of having the camera being battery operated, the convivence of having the camera constantly recording far outweighs the running of a single cable. The cable is of great quality, and has held up in the really cold snaps of winter without having to provide any other shielding to the cable.
