What do you do when the app won't let you use the bridge without a mandatory bridge update that it always fails to install?

Sounds like the bridge is having an issue. If it's still under warranty I would contact them but if it's outside of warranty you might have to replace it. I had a bridge that would no longer allow me to connect a new device, ended up replacing it.

I’m not sure what the effect is that you want with these bulbs. I use them as effects in front of my big screen tv to go along with the sound affects from whatever I’m watching on the tv. I have 5, dropped ceiling with 2x2 panels and I put one bulb in 5 different panels. I’m not trying to light up the room, Juninho front of the tv. If you’re wanting to light up a 12x12 room I would only use one in every other row so 5x2 lights or ten of the bulbs. You can dim them or set them to as bright as they’ll go. You’ll need a hub for transitions effects. Hope this helps.
