Great collection
This is a great collection of short stories by Agatha Christie, all featuring love in some way. They feature many familiar characters plus stand alone stories. I enjoyed rereading some and discovering others.

Short story mysteries
I loved that each story , though short and entertaining, was fully developed. Rather like those Readers Digest books I devoured as a younger woman. The length of each story was manageable, so I could read the entire thing without staying awake till the wee hours with my nose in my book. And who writes better stories than AC? Wonderful

Always 5 Stars
How could anything written by the incomparable Agatha Christie ever be less than perfection? This selection of short stories is perfect for those already in awe of Ms. Christie, but could also work well as an into to the author. A perfect into to well known and beloved characters such as Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot, Tommy and Tuppence, and more. I'll read again and again! I received a copy of this book thru a Goodreads giveaway, but it definitely did not affect my rave review.

You Can’t Go Wrong With Christie
A lovely series of short stories that deal with matters of the heart…and murder. Along with Agatha Christie’s most famous detective, Poirot, several other characters are included in this series. Each story is unique as the characters involved. Loved it 🥰

Wonderful short stories
A Deadly Affair contains a number of short stories, many of which were first published in various publications beginning in 1923. Every story features some character or characters created by Agatha Christie. One story, Death By Drowning, is presented to Miss Marple by her doctor as she is recovering from flu. The doctor's intent was to cheer her up, and it did indeed.

Killer Stories of Love Gone Wrong
Agatha Christie’s novels are always reliably entertaining and exquisitely plotted, but until this book, A DEADLY AFFAIR, I’d not read any of her short stories. This collection is built around the theme of love gone wrong. While I do prefer the full-length mysteries which allow for more character development and elaborate puzzles, these were fun, quick reads featuring Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Mr. Quin, Parker Pyne, and Tommy and Tuppence. My favorite story, “The Face of Helen,” concerned a beautiful woman Quin and Satterthwaite encounter at the opera who is involved in a love triangle. The mystery is so diabolically clever! I also quite enjoyed “The King of Clubs,” where only Poirot’s little gray cells point to the killer. It was also interesting to read the short story “A Death on the Nile” which is similar to the Poirot book only in terms of the title as well as an excerpt from Christie’s autobiography about her early love affairs. I didn’t as much care for the two Tommy and Tuppence stories. Either they felt more dated than the others, more reliant on slang, or both. You can grab this book and read the stories in any order. It’s a great choice if you are looking for a slump-buster or low-commitment mystery!

Best Mystery Writer
Absolutely delightful collection of short stories. Each one with an unexpected twist. Most of Christie's well known characters appear in the short stories. Stories take place in early 19th century. One of Christie*s best books. Hard to put down once you start reading.

A Deadly Affair
He weak, strange stories, nowhere near the usual Agatha Christie mysteries we are used to and the last story made no sense! I love Agatha Christie but not this book!
