Uncle John's Heavy Duty Bathroom Reader (Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Annual)

this book was sort of a disappointment - too many long stories about subjects that didn't interest me, and there were some other items that I found interest in - this is unusual for a bathroom reader - it went on and on about a language that nobody speaks and on and on about the history of the mall - I can't say that wouldn't interest some younger people but I was around when the malls sprung up and knew all about it - still in all the long stories don't usually interest me as much as the short and medium ones do - all-in-all I'd say this book was 50% good and 25% not so hot and 25% of no interest whatever - if I could have I would have given this bathroom reader 2 1/2 stars - oh well, better luck next time ---

Husband not a reader

Initially I was attracted by the title, anything concerning the bathroom must be interesting! Well it turns out to be something that is suitable for anyone who's young at heart, who's still eager to quench his/her thirst for knowledge. If you are one of those, which I believe most people are, just buy and read the book. You never know, it might solve one or two of your long time questions which you are afraid to ask.

This is my first experience with an Uncle John's reader and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. I got a charge out of their explaining that depending on how nature calls there are very short, short, medium and long items to read. I've really enjoyed the book and my wife jokingly asks, "Did you fall in?" Well worth the money.

I always enjoy reading Uncle John's books. I am entertained and educated at the same time. I always find some fact or tip that I didn't know and am able to share with family and friends later. Some of them think I am really intelligent. Some of them think I am just a smart aleck, some of them think I make up all my facts. Sometimes they are all correct. But reading these books is still fun.

What more can be said of a book that is in its 23rd edition and keeps on getting better! This series is so entertaining and delightful that even its great length, almost 500 pages, hardly seems a bother. The various stories are so entertaining they stagger the imagination. The anthrax story is very interesting as is the one dispelling various conspiracy theories.If you enjoy being entertained and maybe learning something in the process than this book is for you!

I own one and have given the series as gifts for Christmas. Guys laugh when they open it, but they always comment later about how interesting it is. My Dad in particular LOVES these. I have bought him 3 now, and he will quote facts and tell educational or interesting stories out of them. Interesting stories, facts, quotes and even the occasional joke!

As usual, Uncle John's Bathroom Reader- Heavy Duty edition is a real hoot. I have been reading these books for a very long time and I love all of them. I never hesitate to buy a new one and enjoy it. If you haven't read one of these, boy are you missing out!

Uncle John's readers are collections of fact, trivia and general I did not know thats.Always entertaining light and breezy and ideal for the smallest room in the house.The great news is that there is one published every year.Enjoy whilst seated.

Funny as they all are in this series

A great read, lasted longer than some of the others in the series, definitely recommend it, love this series, will be buying more

23rd edition, and the 4th Uncle Johns' book I've goen through.Being unable to stomach reading fiction, these are excellent for quick or not-so quick toilet visits. 500+ pages, lots of weird/funny/interesting/useless stories and facts throughout. Almsot to the end, so I'll ahve to grab another.

This is Christmas gift and I'm pretty sure it will enjoyed!
