Hi everyone! I wanted to share one of my favorite Amazon purchases. These are the Masontops Tough Tops lids for wide-mouth mason jars. If you use mason jars like I do for leftovers, fruit, or dry goods, these lids are a huge upgrade from the regular metal lids and rings. They’re made from durable plastic, they screw on really easily, and they create a nice tight seal so they’re great for the refrigerator. I liked them so much that I actually came back and bought a second set. If you use wide-mouth mason jars in your kitchen, these are definitely worth getting. They just make mason jars so much easier to use every day.

I plan to use my mason jars for overnight oats for work. These lids work perfectly and seem very good quality. I trust the brand this is my second purchase. I bought the all white lids previously. They do have a silicone ring on the lids for sealing be careful not to lose them when washing. Very easy to remove and very easy to put back.

All of my lids work perfectly. They are easier to get onto the jars than screw bands that have gotten a little warped. I have one lid that is a little fussy to get on so it isn’t cross threaded. I hope that will smooth out with use. I tried each lid with water in a pint jar and shook it vigorously. No leaks. The lids didn’t even need to be screwed down extra tight. Just snug works fine. My lids came with a little slot place on the inside to make it easy to get the silicone gasket out for cleaning. I bought these to use on jars that contain home made salad dressing. The metal lids with a screw band were destroyed by the acid in the vinegar, and made a nasty metallic taste to my dressing before I could use it up. I hope these lids solve that problem. I think the reason people complain about the lids being hard to get on and off is because they are trying to screw them all the way down to the lip on the jar. That isn’t necessary for them to be well sealed and leak proof. See photo. As far being hard to remove, they can’t be harder to remove than metal screw bands that have rusted to the glass jar. I am quite pleased with my purchase.

These tops have been a surprisingly solid addition to my collection of mason jar accessories. I use mason jars for everything including leftovers, overnight oats, cold brew, dry storage, so a good lid is essential. These check most of the boxes and are a clear step up from the flimsy metal ones that tend to rust or warp. The build quality feels excellent. It's thick, BPA-free plastic that’s both durable and easy to grip. The threading is smooth, and the lids twist on and off effortlessly, even after multiple uses. The pastel colors are actually more useful than I expected because they make it easy to color-code what’s inside (for example: blue for coffee, pink for oats, green for pantry items). They’re also dishwasher safe, which is a huge convenience. After several cycles, none of mine have warped or discolored. The interior seal stays snug and hasn’t absorbed odors from strong foods like garlic or kimchi which is something a lot of cheaper lids fail at. The one reason I took off a star: while they’re mostly leakproof, they’re not completely watertight when shaken or tipped on their side. If you’re storing liquids, just make sure the jar stays upright. For dry goods or refrigerator storage, though, they’re perfect.

The tops are great, and fit well, would definitely recommend them. However, I only received three of the four tops. When I reached out to Masontops, they promptly responded and shipped out a replacement box right away. Their customer service is great!

these work well and are in fact leakproof. the do not seem to be prone to staining, but I haven't put anything like tomato sauce in them yet. They are harder the get off and on than the Ball brand lids but I have not found this to be a negative.

Love the quality. Much easier to use, no rusting. I can color coordinate with different foods make it easier to find what I'm looking for. I also love the glass of a Mason jar, cleaner than plastic containers.

These are brilliant - they even have a small notch in the inside of the lid to make it easier to remove the seal for cleaning. Brilliant !!

Fit all my mason jars which I use for smoothies perfectly! So happy with these. The clean up in a snap in the top of our dishwasher too. No issues with leaks in my lunch bag if tipped either. The seal that fits in the top is easy to remove and clean too. I just throw it on a rung top of the dishwasher as well
