FARMcurious - Mason Jar Fermenting Kit - Mold Free - 2 pack - Black

I got one set of these to start fermenting, and after a successful first batch or two (cabbage with ginger turned out well), I decided that for the additional tops I wanted to use while doing pickles, I could go for the less expensive option (a set of six lids and airlocks for about the same price as two farmcurious lids). I've since returned and bought three farmcurious kits, because the details are just better. The domed lids and the large opening for the corks, which hold the airlocks, gives enough distance between the ferment and the airlock to work very well. They're easier to clean. The airlocks have a subtle fill mark. The seals fit well and don't fall out of the lids. So much less fiddly and more reliable that I'm a convert; I've got four sets now. Definitely worthwhile, I think.

GIANT RIP-OFF! Like others, I read this to mean that there were 2 of the fermenting tops and accessories, but when the "kit" is opened, it's only one, and includes a jar, worth about a dollar, which I assume must be the second unit. THIS IS FALSE AND MISLEADING ADVERTISING at its worst. Don't purchase this, unless you want to throw money away.

I have made sauerkraut with the help of Farm Curious. I love the air lock system so I dont have to worry about mold. It works very very well. I had to go out and get more wide mouth Mason jars to keep up :)

I'm just starting to make fermented veggies, and both milk & water kefir. These lids and airlock so are fabulous.

I'm a beginning fermenter. This set up is very easy. No mold! I'm going to order this again so I can have several going at the same time. Thank you!
