REFUND DUE for wrong sized packet
I paid for the ONE KILOGRAM PACK as advertised & received ONLY a 2 lbs pack that sold for a LOWER PRICE, so AMAZON OWES ME THE DIFFERENCE. i TOLD THE SUPPLIER WHO TOLD ME TO REQUEST A REFUND FROM AMAZON.There were NO instructions on how to use this product & measurement size was not advised, and when I called Nutricargo LLC they COULD NOT TELL ME EITHER. The product is very good, BUT......

Don't Buy- Waste of Money-Terrible Company to deal with
I have been doing a lot of research on Pata de Vaca and its uses in helping lower blood sugar, so I was excited to get the powder. I made an infusion by boiling water and then pouring it over about 1tspn of the product. I drank the tea after a very low carb meal. My blood sugar jumped over 50 points. I decided that maybe I need to take it 30-60 min before a meal, so I did that but didn't get any better results. Its been about a week plus I have tried this product and it has done nothing to lower blood sugar, instead I've had the reverse happen. So I either have to assume what NutriCargo is selling isn't the real McCoy or that the dozens of research, some scientific, out their on the benefits of Pata de Vaca is a farce. I would rather assume the first. I tried to return the product to NutriCargo but they refused claiming it is a food product and can't be returned. They didn't offer to credit me or anything else, as if when I buy something from a supermarket and am not satisfied they tell me no, I can't return it-NOT, never had that happen. So for those of you who are thinking of ordering-Don't you will be wasting your hard earned money.

I don't think this is for "pre-diabetic"..types?
OK.. sigh.. i guess i'm the first to review this product. I already have a staple called Touchi Extract that i use religiously as a blood sugar regulator. I decided to "dabble with the unknown" and bought this bag of Pata De Vaca as well as the oil.Firstly? it's BITTER.. bitter..bitter.. bitter... you stir it up with 8 oz. of hot water and let it set for 10 mins. Then you drink it without stirring. Nothing can describe how horrible it tastes other than lizard spit. (Don't think i haven't tried that? well you have to be in the military to relate.) I thought it would have a "clayish/benign" taste according to it's appearance? Nope.. medicinally/bitter. You can use any other tea to "take the edge off" of it, but it's still not pleasant. When it's warm you just have to chug-a-lug it. Sipping it prolongs the agony.Any one who will post in the future that it "tastes alright" will either be a "cape", or someone who is epicurically deficient, or eats dog poo and won't admit it publicly. You're supposed to take this 3x a day after meals. For some? that may be too much. If you get a nosebleed like i did after taking the recommended dose after one day? "pull back". i learned to take it only once after dinner if that..If you have hypoglycemia, this tea will lower the blood sugar even more. The moment you start feeling irritable/edgy/insomnia.. just stop using it. It HAS to be taken after a meal. it's a vegetarian version of insulin. taking it on an empty stomach is courting a hypoglycemic situation..I was going to use the oil as a portable insulin for my long mountain hikes? Haven't tried that yet, but will see in the future. I was told to just mix 10 drops with a little water and drink it down. After the powder, i just couldn't..i decided to go back to my Touchi Extract. and use the Pata de Vaca only when necessary. Which means, this 2.2 lb bag is going to last a very long time. This is what i've learned so far.. and i'm hoping others will chime in with their experience?

Pata de Vaca works quite well
I am ordering my second box because it works well when taken as directed. Take 1/2 teaspoon three times a day. Each dose should be taken 1/2 hour to two hours before a meal. Some people like to make a tea with it, others take it dry. I put it in my mouth and swish it around with water before swallowing. I then take one or two more drinks of water to clear the mouth. I consider the taste to be unusual, but I do not agree with those who call it horrible, terrible, or bitter. After using the product the first few weeks I became accustomed to the taste and now no longer give it a second thought. It helps me control my appetite better than any other product I have tried, and I have tried a lot. I intend to continue using Pata de Vaca in the powder form.
