BONSEN 24-Sheet Cross-Cut P-4 High Security Heavy Duty Paper Shredder

I recently purchased the paper shredder and it has exceeded my expectations. As someone who receives a lot of junk mail, I needed a reliable shredder that could handle heavy loads without skipping a beat. This shredder does just that, it effortlessly devours any paper I feed it and purrs along quietly while doing so. What sets this shredder apart from others I've tried is its power. It never lugs down, even when faced with my most heavy and stubborn junk mail. It easily shreds through everything, leaving no paper trail behind. I can confidently say that this shredder is the best I've ever used. In fact, I am so impressed with this product that I wish I could give it six stars. From its smooth operation to its sturdy construction, it has truly exceeded my expectations. As soon as I picked up the box from my front porch, I could tell that this shredder was built to last. With its weight and quality build, I knew it was a wise investment. Overall, I am more than pleased with this paper shredder. It has made my life much easier and has saved me time and effort in getting rid of my junk mail. I highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a powerful and reliable shredder. Exceeded my expectations for what i was looking for.

This shredder is bullet proof. I bought this just to shred cardboard to add to my compost bins. I have shredded so many boxes I've long lost count. I fill large leaf bags full of shreds and I have seven full bags waiting to go in the compost right now. I have put untold bags full already into the compost bins. Of course it shreds paper like nothing. This thing is quiet, easy to use, a large collection bin that is very easy to empty and replace. I have continuously shredded for at least two hours straight without stopping. I have had it stop in overheat mode 3 or 4 times but I try to stop when I feel the side getting very warm. I do oil the cutters with proper shredder oil each time I use it. The controls are very simple easily accessible at the top. You can manually reverse the cutters and manually run forward as well. It's a momentary hold down of the buttons. The shredder automatically starts when it senses paper entering the top and automatically senses when the bin is full. The shreds are quite small which makes composting quick and for documents impossible to read afterwards. It has rollers instead of feet that are lockable which makes it very convenient to move around without picking it up. And if you want to pick it up it has nice hand holds on the sides to make that as easy as possible. This unit is quite heavy because of the large cutter head and motor inside. I would classify this as a commercial type shredder that you would find in a large office. It is well worth the purchase price. It comes fully assembled except for the wheels which are very easy to install. You won't regret buying this unit. Update : 5/19/26 The shredder teeth stopped turning even though the motor still runs. It's not jammed. We'll see how well they cover their warranty. They did cover their warranty they sent me a whole brand new one unfortunately it did have some shipping damage it still works though we'll see if they send me parts to replace the broken part or offer to replace it again the case to the motor portion got broken and the plastic pieces that lock the bin in on the left side was broken when I opened the box... Update 6/14/26 they are sending me another new one. Their customer service is exceptional. You don't have to worry about the company supporting their products, they do. Follow up 6/16/26 the new unit arrived already!!! and this one came undamaged thank goodness. I can't say enough of Bonsens customer service. Just some questions answered and some pictures sent of the damage or defect and they quickly respond with an offer of your money back or they'll send another. You can't beat that. This thing is a beast. Just take it easy when it eventually gets hot, let it rest, come back to it. Don't overdrive it with too much resistance in the paper slot. Even though the cutters can handle almost anything the friction in the paper slot can put undue stress on the drive shaft. I widened the slot a bit and that did it for my cardboard. I highly recommend Bonsen.

I had a paper shredder that they said could grind ten pages at a time. Yeah Right, it was lucky if it could do two and if you used it longer then five minutes it would overheat. Thats the reason I got this Bonsen shredder. This thing is a monster, it doesn't slow down for nothing and never overheats. I had years and years of tax return papers. You know the kind of papers you just don't want to throw straight in the garbage with all your info for people to read. Well, this baby will take care of that. I spent a whole day feeding this thing papers and it had to be 10 or more pages at a time non stop including folders and this shredder buzzed through it no sweat. Great product a little costly but well worth it. Also this is a larger unit, I'd say the size of a standard metal garbage can. So if your tight for space you might not like the size. But if you want to grind your heart away this is the unit to do it with. I think the next thing I'm going to do is grind my own meat and I'll bet it would do it too lol!

Marking it as a 5 star for now because of performance. I’ll update on reliability and adjust accordingly. For now, it works great for moderate home use. It’s rated for business use, so it should last forever in my home but I’ve just been burned by a higher end Aurora that was supposedly a very robust unit that randomly died a week out of warranty. Things I like: very large 9 gallon bin, nice status light with ambient light for bin to check fill level, very sturdy build. This is a heavy machine…it weighs 45lbs empty, so you’ll definitely need the casters to move it around. The 40 minute continuous run time seems impressive. I’ve noticed that there is a vent on the backside near the motor for heat to escape. Could be a good sign that it was built to last. I’ll report back on reliability.

So far it has been great. I'll keep you posted. Excellent replacement for our 19-year-old Fellows SB-85C. Added capacity sheet wise and shredder container capacity. Made in Vietnam. Very Good Quality. Runs like a champ. Time will tell. Very happy with the purchase. It was a sale price and that was helpful. Everything costs so much more nowadays as we all know. At 40 + pounds it's heavier in weight than the Fellows it replaced. That is a good thing. Commercial grade motor. This is for home use for us.

Love this shredder. I’ve used it for the better part of a year now and it’s by far the best shredder I have used in my home. I’ve gone thru 3 in the past 20 or so years. This model is by far the best one I’ve owned. It has a big tank, so you’re not having to empty it too often. It is a bit bigger than I thought, but fits in the office and use it almost daily. Highly recommend if you shred a lot at home. Feels more of an industrial size, but if you have a big space in your office. It will work great!

This is a true heavy-duty shredder. It's quiet, and it gobbles up stacks of 20-page docks. There are two things that I don't like about it. Number one is the mess the bin creates when you remove a full bin. For some reason, the designer decided to put little traps at the bottom of the shredder's bin holder. These trap clippings can't be removed without a vacuum. The auto-reversing after shredding a doc doesn't help either. It reverses as you're removing the bin, creating a mess. That auto-reversing feature is the second thing I don't like. After you shred a doc, the shredder comes to a halt, and after two or three seconds, the drum reverses for a few seconds. Very annoying when you're trying to shred a bunch of docs. Other than these two items, I really like it. I've shredded thirteen years of financial docs, and it hasn't even whimpered.

Once I finally received the correct product, I loved it. It blends in with the decor of the room and it is super quiet. The paper is shredded into unrecognizable pieces like the description said. Quality of the product is excellent. No Jamming, yet. Shredability is excellent.

This shredder is a terrific machine. Over time we had stored decades worth of shredding. I was using a good but incredibly loud shredder that just wasn't up for this job. I bought the Bonsen and my only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner. Its quiet, capable, and sturdy. Comes with a large basket so you're not constantly emptying it. Its pricy but I'd buy it again.

Vraiment très satisfaite elle est très gourmande prend souvent plus que ce que je m’attends. J’ai passé des cartes et CD dans la fente indiqué du milieu aucun problème. Et les piles de feuilles sont parfois aussi épaisse que la largeur de la fente mais sa ne bloque pas malgré tout. Son temp de déchiquetage s’en arrêt est d’environ 30 minutes.

Juste wow. Rapidité, grande capacité de feuilles d'un coup, peu bruyante, se déplace bien grâce aux roulettes. Je recommande
