Calloway Mills 121813048 Calico Hello Doormat, 30" x 48", Natural/Black

Loved the doormat when it arrived! Looked great at my front double doors! My front entrance is completely covered BUT when I watered a plant next to the mat some water got on the mat and it made a water mark. I thought it wasn't a problem but after several days the water mark did not go away. I moved the mat into the sun to dry, but even after drying the mat throughly the mark was still there. Thinking maybe it was a mark from the plant, I sprayed the mat with water to rinse it and then left it out in the sun again to dry. Instead of going away the wet/stain mark increased in size to the area I had rinsed. Conclusion - this mat CAN NOT get wet at all or it discolours (darkens) and the mark/stain does not go away. I haven't returned the mat but I am going to. Very disappointing because I really like it :(

Beautiful rug if you don't plan on using it at all. I guess I was lucky in that I actually received the authentic Coir rug but it falls apart really easy with minimal wear. I was constantly having to clean the fibers that were tracked into the house. You can barely read the word Hello from all the wear and I've had it less than 2 months.

I do have to say it’s a beautiful mat. But as soon as it arrive I noticed a fowl smell. I unboxed it and the smell ( which resemble feces) became unbearable I had to wash it immediately. So far I’m disappointed. Hopefully that unearthly smell disappears so I don’t have to return and can update with better rating.

Looks good at first. After a month or so it goes downhill fast. Gets wet once and never the same.

When I 1st got the rug, I loved it! Just want I wanted. Very disappointed though in less than 2 weeks, it already has a worn out, old look to it on the area it gets the most traffic.Very disappointed in the product.

Looks great but it sheds so you track fibers into your house

Terrible product and description. This mat is a FOAM MAT with a vinyl backing. It is not made of 100% coir (fiber from the outer husk of the coconut, used for making ropes and matting) it is made of foam with an image printed on it to look like like coco coir - total deceipt and trickery by this company. Just tossed this after about a year. The "hello" had almost completely worn off and the mat was always retaining water for days after rain, making more of a mess than if nothing was there.

This May smells sooooo bad. I can describe the smell except that it’s like a sour, old shoe, egg carton smell. It’s horrible. The cardboard it came in smelled too and the side of the box was open…maybe something crawled in and died?? I can’t have the mat indoors because of this putrid smell, however, even having it outside, you can smell it as you walk up to the door. Wish I could return it but we’ve already stepped on it with dirty shoes.

This was a great piece and we enjoyed having it welcome people to our home but after a few rains it got a stain. Was quite surprised that an outdoor mat would have this issue. Other than this issue, it is a great looking mat.

I loved the look at this map. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because when it got wet it left a huge round mark that looked like grease. It wouldn't go away. Then the writing in the area that got wet faded. Not happy at all

Would not recommend. Have had it for a month now and was permanently discolored by the rain and also sheds very badly. Little fibres are tracked into the house, which means more vaccuming for me. Does not look nice like when we first bought it and we barely have any foot traffic. Not pleased with my purchase and will have to look for a new mat now.

I am very disappointed with this purchase. After lightly shaking it out, it has almost torn in half in two pieces. It has been used for only a couple of weeks. The backing is extremely thin and the jute is not very thick. Actually, the rug is sparse all over when compared to other rugs. I paid $57 CAD for this rug, which is way over-priced for the quality.
