Good quality and value, could be wider.
I am surprised and pleased with the overall quality, and the heft and gauge of the fabric, they should last for years. Each cockpit cover comes with three elastic shock cords with adjustable hooks The hooks on the shock cords are held in place with knots so they can be adjusted and the shock cord is commonly available and can be replaced when it loses its elasticity. I got the 60 x 29 in. size; I have wide kayaks and would prefer a wider size of 36 In., this would allow the cover to wrap further around and down the side of the kayak for a more secure seal. I store my kayaks horizontally on their sides on hangers mounted to the back of a storage shed with no direct sunlight; the covers are needed primarily to keep out leaves and critters from the cockpit area. These are very good covers and a good value for the $$$, I recommend them.

Not Long Enough
This cover seems very sturdy and I think it will hold up well against the elements, which are pretty harsh here in the winter. Our kayaks are stored outside in racks on the shore of a lake, and the winter weather comes roaring off the lake so it can be very cold and windy. We have Pelican sit in kayaks. My goal for this cover was to (1) prevent water from accumulating in the kayaks and (2) cover the kayak in such a way that mice can’t crawl under the end of the cover and make a weather protected home for themselves.Unfortunately, the cover is long enough to cover the seating area of the boat, but not long enough to completely cover the recessed area in the bow of the boat. Goal number 1 will likely be met, because the kayaks are on their sides in racks with the bottom of the boat facing into the weather. So I think between the position of the boat and the cover, water won’t pool inside. But the space between the cover and the recessed bow is definitely large enough for critters to get in there. No matter how we adjust it we can’t get a tight fit in the area. That’s really disappointing.Additionally, it is very difficult for me to get the cover on alone. I sometimes kayak on my own and need to be able to replace the cover without getting someone to help me. I’m 5’3”, and while the straps on the cover are definitely long enough to hold the cover in place, they aren’t long enough for a person my size to easily grab both ends when the kayak is racked on its side. Another 6” on each end would be much better.Keeping these for now because we need something, but will likely have to buy something longer for next year.

Rooftop travel worked great!
These are awesome. I had read reviews before hand about rooftop travel. I just went 1320.00 miles. They held up just fine.70mph majority of the time. I highly recommend. Great price also

Bungee cords running under the boat make it harder to store
I like the versatility of this product, which covers my kayak's cockpit that I couldn't find the right sized cover for, but the fact that it uses bungee cords to secure it and those cords run beneath the kayak makes it difficult to load the boat onto a rack from the end, which is how I have to store mine. Without this drape, I could just slide it by myself, but it takes a second person to do that when the drape is installed - one to lift the kayak over the cross supports so the bungee cords don't get caught as the kayak slides over them and one to push from the end. (If you had a side-loading kayak rack, this cockpit drape would be fine.)I have used this drape to cover the cockpit when I stayed overnight at a beach camp. Installing this product while the kayak is lying on the beach sand is also a little difficult but doable.Bottom line: a fitted cockpit cover works better but this is cheaper and does the job.

While a great idea from traveling kayaks getting filled with water
When we loaded the kayaks on the roof the night before we left for our 8hr drive- it rained all night. Had to bail a ton of water out of the kayaks. after that sanairo, I purchased this set of covers...A year, My bad...I finally opened them to use them again on the 8 hours trip to our destination.. I found I am missing a set of 3 bungess.. and can only use the covers on only one kayak... MY bad for not checking the parcel to make sure all itmes were in the package. Hoping I can wrangle up a few from in the shed to make the second one work. otherwise....these seem to be a good quality product. to be determined...I'll let you know in about 2 weeks..
