Irish Setter Men's Farmington Construction Shoe

I purchased two pairs, when my husband pulled the first pair out of the box, you could see it had been worn, scuffed and has dirt on the sole. Second pair was fine and had tags still one them. If they were a pair that was returned they shouldn’t have been sold as NEW. Very upsetting!

It is important to get the right fitting boot for construction. This is a durable and comfortable boot. The only one I know that fits a wide foot too. I usually change the laces to a tacky leather one because the ones that come with these boots do untie during the day. The boots have plenty of room in the toe area too. I work in muddy and wet conditions to hard concrete surfaces that will eventually eat away at the bottoms. These boots remain comfortable throughout the day. I also add inserts to remain comfortable but the ones that come with the boot are good too. I work 40 hours a week and am on my feet moving around for almost all of it.

Work boots that caused blisters on back of heels

I have owned three pairs of these boots over the past 15 years or so. They wear like iron, and have never worn out the soles on any of them. Eventually the leather tops give out. In my experience they take some break in time as they are a bit stiff, but that is also why they wear so well. If you are looking for boots to work in I recommend them. If you are looking for pretty boots to go with your pretty pants maybe not,

These seem like decent boots for casual wear, not suitable for professional work (predictive statement, they may be old up)but be prepared for long break-in or do it quick with many blisters. Inside is not lined with comfort in mind. Socks, proper ones will be necessary for prolonged wear. Look nice, just as pictured. Run narrow, correct length for boots that I am used to. Will update as they mature.

My husband has extra wide feet and has so much trouble finding work boots that are wide enough. When I saw these I was excited. I bought them and couldn't wait until he opened them at Christmas. I was so disappointed when he tried them on they were still not wide enough.

Need to return to small!!

This is not the Irish Setter boot that you’re used to. No inner padding, cheap sole, looks like something made in the 1930s. Skip it. We returned fast.
