The pills are scored on one side; they are soft and you can easily cut them in half with a sharp knife.

Q: does it help you sleep like benadryl ?

It can make you drowsy.. but it effects people different. Husband falls asleep with benadryl but says this doesn't do that. It makes me drowsy so I don't take it when I need to drive in the AM. Hope that helps. Its really good allergy medicine and works great. Better than all the new so called ones one. Flight surgeon started me on this years ago and it still works the best. 2 x a day 8 mg
