THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER! Though we talk about wanting to "age gracefully," the truth is that when it comes to getting older, we’re programmed to dread an inevitable decline: in our health, our looks, our sexual relationships, even the pleasure we take in living life. But as Christiane Northrup, M.D., shows us in this profoundly empowering book, we have it in us to make growing older an entirely different experience, both for our bodies and for our souls. In chapters that blend personal stories and practical exercises with the latest research on health and aging, Dr. Northrup lays out the principles of ageless living, from rejecting processed foods to releasing stuck emotions, from embracing our sensuality to connecting deeply with our Divine Source. Explaining that the state of our health is dictated far more by our beliefs than by our biology, she works to shift our perceptions about getting older and show us what we are entitled to expect from our later years—no matter what our culture tries to teach us to the contrary—including: · Vibrant good health · A fulfilling sex life · The capacity to love without losing ourselves · The ability to move our bodies with ease and pleasure · Clarity and authenticity in all our relationships—especially the one we have with ourselves "Taking all the right supplements and pills, or getting the right procedure done, isn’t the prescription for anti-aging," Dr. Northrup explains. "Agelessness is all about vitality, the creative force that gives birth to new life." Goddesses Never Age is filled with tools and inspiration for bringing vitality and vibrancy into your own ageless years—and it all comes together in Dr. Northrup’s 14-day Ageless Goddess Program, your personal prescription for creating a healthful, soulful, joyful new way of being at any stage of life. An amazing guide book for life
One word: WOW. This is a really great guidebook for living our lives fully. I'm a fan of Dr. Christiane Northrup and when I saw her being interviewed by Oprah on the OWN channel, I heard them talking about her new book. I got it on my Kindle right away and I have loved every chapter. Northrup has included a ton of information in this book such as shedding light on health topics, and not just the mainstream medical views that are forced down our throats every day. I've always had a gut feeling they don't know all the facts about cholesterol, breast cancer screenings, flouride in our water, etc, and Northrup confirmed most of my suspicions. I have been exasperated by doctors and nurse practitioners who can only follow protocol. They go on health studies and statistics that, I was told recently by an older physician, are 10 years old by the time they come out to the public! Most doctors feed you only the information they are told to feed you, and that's scary because many people think doctors are gods and know everything. I am a big proponent of alternative, holistic (meaning WHOLE) health care and you will see some of those ideas presented in this book as well as common sense ideas like exercise and healthy eating. The only criticism I would have is that the book's title is a bit misleading as much of the material could be found useful by men as well.

What a wonderful read! What impressed me so much about this ...
What a wonderful read! What impressed me so much about this book is how well Christine wove the medical in with the spiritual and how well they tied together. With that being said, I left one star off because it never completely hit the target for me. But before I get to that, I have to give immense credit to the wealth of knowledge and inspiring encouragement that Christine offered with every page of this book. She will always invite you to consider what is not working for you and tips and ideas to step in a new direction. She never preached her message but rather offered supportive stories and years and years of research and experience to back up her suggestions. You will find in this book that nothing was left out. Every part of the woman is addressed in this book from diet and sex to medical conditions stemmed from a belief system, to engaging in a spiritual practice that gets you in touch with your inner wisdom. She adopts the philosophy that every medical condition is rooted in a belief that is being manifested in the physical body. Along with that, she will offer up ideas and inspirations to help you get on the path to vibrant health ... if that is truly what you want. With all that being said, I found some of her information to be contradictory. Let's not forget that she is a medical doctor with years and years of scientific, medical training and experience. This is an impressive presence she offers to the reader. The part of her teachings that I found contradictory was in the "Belief" part. If she believes that your thoughts create your experience and your body, then perhaps that same philosophy could be applied to our thoughts about diet and exercise. She will preach good nutrition, diet and nutritional supplements to build a healthy body and then turn around and tell you that your thinking is what is creating your lack of an unsatisfactory life. I'm not saying diet and exercise are not important. I'm inviting one to accept that they do not create good health. They support if you think they do, but you can be vibrant, alive, healthy and full of joy without them. I wonder ... if it's what we put into our bodies that creates the body of our dreams and the experience of our dreams or ... if it's our thinking that makes it so. I know I'm getting philosophical here and perhaps digging just a little too deep but heck ... I'm a goddess and I get to challenge anything I want and adopt any teaching that supports where I am at on my spiritual path to my ageless self. I loved this book and will recommend it to all of my "Goddess" friends. It's a good read, very well put together and a lot of fun to consider new ideas and possibilities. Get it ... you'll surly grasp a lot of nuggets that will support you as you embrace your "Goddess" self.

A New Way to Experience Life!
To say this book is timely is an understatement. It arrives at the perfect time when so many of us are entering the best years of our lives. I have learned so much from Dr. Northrup over the years from her other books, but this one uplifts me in my soul. Getting older does not scare me after reading this book. We do not have to age, get sick, end up in a rest home and have dementia. We do not have to get cancer, diabetes and heart disease. We can reclaim our health and maintain our vitality. We can radiate and express our talents as we age, we can keep and stay healthy and vital all of our lives and much has to do with our beliefs and our behavior. This is the singly most important book I have read this year. The wisdom and knowledge Dr. Northrup so lovingly imparts in this book is a gift to women worldwide. Her book has guided me to all sorts of easily attainable healthy lifestyle and behavioral changes that I never knew about. It has given me new topics of health and healing to share with my family and friends, it has helped me beef up my game in taking exquisite care of myself so I can truly be of present to those people and causes I love and care about. Thank you Dr. Northrup from the bottom of my heart!

Goddesses and Gods Never Age - With The Help of This Book!!!
I had the amazing opportunity to interview Dr. Northrup this week for our Inspire Nation Show. She's amazing, and I love her message. Age is a choice, and there are many ways we can choose to stay young, get young, and be young! It truly is an inside job! But her book goes far beyond the rah-rah, and gives us powerful how-to advice to keep us healthy, and feeling young...AT ANY AGE, for years or decades to come. I read a silly number of books a week, and nowhere have I found such a thorough, beautiful, and reader-friendly compilation of all the great stuff we can do to be younger at any age, beginning right now. And this isn't just a book for Goddesses...but for God's too. In fact, I'd argue men, such as myself, need this advice as much, if not more so than anyone else...for staying healthy isn't in the head, but in the heart, and women tend to do better than us in this department. If you're looking to get or stay healthy, I cannot recommend this book enough. Oh, and it's FUN too, the stories in it are great!!!!!

Food for Thought
I have waited a long time to read this book and had high hopes for it. The digital version was on sale in late 2019 so I grabbed a copy. Ultimately, I was disappointed in the content. Perhaps it was because I have been following D. Northrup’s work for quite a while and none of the information in the book is something I hadn’t heard before, either by her or by someone else in the personal development/diet/exercise/wellness space. I found the chapters on diet and exercise to be especially dull and when I reached the 80% read point, the book started to drag. I don’t believe preaching is her mission but it is hard to not sound that way with this type of genre. I had hoped she would talk more about the cultural portals to aging that women in our society collectively experience, perhaps starting from birth and moving towards our seventies, eighties, and even nineties with an emphasis on the less obvious but equally impactful ones. I would have liked her to break them down and talk more about how to spot them, giving real world scenarios. Instead, the book goes on and on about the obvious ways to make ourselves feel younger such as taking dance lessons, getting massages, eating a healthful diet and exercising. Some of her suggestions are sound but others come across as flighty and some require a disposal income which not everyone possesses. Dr. Northrup uses herself as a constant example of how she stays youthful by sharing a number of goods and services, one that comes up several times is an adaptogen used to treat menopausal symptoms sold by her company Amata. Many of the things mentioned will not resonate with everyone. If you are somewhat savvy about this topic, nothing she mentions will sound new. She does go on and on about Argentine Tango which she obviously adores. I wasn’t as put off by this as some of my fellow reviewers but it was over the top. It comes up very often throughout the book as does “Divine Love” and Mama Gena’s School of Womanly Arts. Some of her messages contradict other people she likes to quote such as Joe Dispenza whose primary message is to get beyond our bodies. Dr. Northrup states that meditation is great but we are meant to live in our bodies to experience life. She then offers an example of an over-meditator whose life is a mess. These contradictions are the heart of Hay House, her publisher and most everyone whose work she draws from is affiliated with Hay House. To me, it is a sign that all of us need to make up our own minds about our beliefs and not rely on any outside source to show us the way. Considering the work of others can be a useful tool but it also has the ability to confuse those who are on the fence or don’t know their own minds. This book adds to that noise. Finally, I have an issue with her refusal to share her age. It is completely her right however, isn’t this another form of perpetuating ageism? I can understand not offering up her age unasked but if someone were to ask her outright how old she is, I wonder what her answer would be? The idea of being coy or refusing to answer indicates that the person has an age hang-up. I don’t see it contributing to a healthier societal mindset on aging. How many men, no matter how old, would deflect the age question and not answer it outright? If she is proud of her age then why not reveal it? When I look at Dr. Northrup, I see a woman who is likely in her late sixties/early seventies. To me she looks her age. I don’t associate all her anti-aging suggestions with appearing younger maybe because I don’t view aging in the same way her generation was brought up to do. Food for thought. Read it and decide for yourself. BRB Rating: Read It.

A game-changer for mature women
At first, I was a little unsure about the title -- the word "Goddesses" made me hesitate a bit. However, I am familiar with the good work of Dr. Northrup in print and on Public Television, and I've been looking for books on aging well. Once I started reading, any doubts fell away, and the author's informative and supportive material spoke volumes to me. This is the book I've needed to read for the past several years -- and I just wish I'd found it sooner. Dr. Northrup addresses such important issues as grief and loss in relation to aging, along with the importance of seeing ourselves in a continual state of growth and grace. She discusses everything from sexuality to spirituality in a practical, warm, and helpful way. It's hard to explain, but somehow she manages to sound both authoritative and friendly, and she backs up her philosophy with plenty of research and resources for the reader. This book is a game changer for me, and I deeply appreciate it.

Great book from amazing author and teacher :)
I personally love Christiane Northrupe even though I am a man and most of her books are addressed to women I love her. She is funny, and wise and sexy ( not really a good reason, but still:) and wise again, so for bunch of other reasons too I would get this book or any other book for that matter doesn't matter if you are woman or man you will learb a lot and laugh and have this extraordinary woman to teach you something important. If would have any chance get also any of her recordings because believe me if you would hear her laughter you would fall in love:) Absolutely joy to support and surround yourself with. Highly recommended! Thank you.
