will this work with a cast iron skillet?

Yes it certainly will. I however always recommend buying the 90235 model as it gives the most versatility for temperature control. That is the 12000 btu model

Is the chef master 90027 portable butane stove compatible with any butane canister?

According to the manufacturer: Use Only Butane Marked BF1010 https://chef-master.com/product/portable-butane-stove/ Don’t know if other products will work. I use the fuel the Manufacture specified.

How long does one can of butane last?

Depends on the strength of the flame. Can be an hour or more. Remember to turn the lighter knob far enough to make it click to light. Many people don’t turn it far enough. You must turn it PAST 7 o clock to get it to click and light. Contact the FryOilSaver co if you have any questions.
