I got this cane/seat for my 83 year old friend for Christmas. He is still quite active for his age and "jogs" 2 miles every morning. Sometimes he's not so steady half way into the jog ... and was getting winded or light headed. Being stubborn as he is (I told him maybe a walk and not jog is better at this point) but he still wants to get out there. Anyway he loves that he can sit down down when he feels like he needs to. And the cane is still light weight enough that he can jog with it in hand! He has also used it while waiting in very long lines and brings it with him on outings where there might be a lot of walking involved. It's pretty sturdy and can open and close easily. It was a little stiff and hard to open and close when he first got it but after loosening it up after a few times its pretty smooth now. I like that it has adjustable legs to accommodate for a taller person to sit on comfortably. The only thing that I don't care for is that you have to sit on it "backwards" with the seat in between your legs in order to stay stable. An older lady friend of mine who could benefit from using this refuses because she wears skirts or dresses all of the time and feels its "unladylike" to be sitting there (getting on and off of it) with your legs spread open (I get that). Overall its a good value for the money and made well.

I bought this because my wife has trouble standing at some of the places she frequents. She likes the concept, but it has a tendency to pop open when using it as a cane. It has a high weight capacity so unless you are a star on "MY 600 POUND LIFE" it is safe to use for us big boned people. Some of the reviews say the seat is uncomfortable, but this not a Barcalounger. Keep that in mind when purchasing.

We were able to make a holder for it on the rollator so we could take it with us to the Disney Parks so we both had a place to sit for the parades and fireworks...works great and is easy to open and close. I would highly recommend it!

Used this for walking all day on Many different surfaces outdoors. I then used the seat when waiting to enter a venue and it was comfortable and sturdy for me 165 and 5’2”. You do sit with the cane handle in front of you and it is comfortable that way. I didn’t feel like I would fall.

I ordered one of these as I have problems walking for long distances due to back issues. Went to a fair with grandchildren and it was so helpful. I never had to search for a place to sit. I could sit close by to see the kids on their rides. Worth every penny. Only problem was the small round magnets fell off when accidently dropped. Not a big deal for me.

I bought it because I suffer from sciatica and since I enjoy cooking sometimes I just need to sit for a bit to rest my back. It is practical in terms of space it folds great. Not the most comfortable but does the job and it is not the most stable but if you need to rest your back anywhere for a bit this is the item for you. Because it is not overly stable I don’t think it would work well outside.

I am morbidly obese and cannot walk far. this supported my weight well

The idea is good but you have to be careful how you sit. Recommend straddling , my father will not use it. He is too scared to fall
