My children are messy eaters are yours? I saw these bibs online and immediately knew that they would be perfect for not only my family but my entire moms group in Austin Texas. these bibs are made out of silicone --beautiful blue color with a smiley face. But overall the absolutely best part about this product is that it has a big pocket to catch all the food and vegetables that my children refuse to eat.When I received these bibs they were neatly wrapped in plastic when I took them out they did have a plastic smell so I washed them with hot soap and water and they were perfect after drying. It was just about lunch time so I decided to put one of them on my daughter. If my children are anything like yours they hate when you go anywhere near their neck. In my opinion the only negative thing about this product is that you have to take one side of the neck tie and stick the bulbs into the holes of the other side of the necktie --please see my pictures to know what I'm talking about --this is how you clasp the bib around the baby's neck- and let me tell you it takes more than a second. If I could change anything about this bib it would be to find anyway to change the necktie configuration --possibly Velcro or a snap would be 100 times better. -- please see picture for neck closure --After getting them on my daughter it was lunchtime food went everywhere on the floor on the tray in her hair when she was done I took the bib off and just as you would expect a handful of food caught in her bib that didn't end up on the floor. This was wonderful!!!! It worked perfectly!!. I also love how you can hang it over your water spout to dry-- please see pictures!-- it is dry in less then 5 minutes! Or just wipe with cloth and dry! would give this bib four stars --i absolutely love everything about it except for the neck tie, and if I could I'd make the smiley face a little more "smiley". I went ahead and passed on one of the bibs to another family to try it as well. she gave me the exact same feedback it's the best best she's ever tried! Except her daughter threw a hissy fit when she attempted to clasp it around her neck- she said “it takes too much effort and children don't like to wait for their food.” I received these two bibs in exchange for an honest review in no way shape or form was I told to get a positive review these opinions are of my own and my family's and my friends and I would love to purchase these bibs again if the necktie was slightly different.
