This product was the answer to a burning more efficiently in my pipeline steel firebox. It keeps the pile tight and allows air to get in and allows ash to fall freely away. I use it on top of bricks so there isn't intense heat on the steel firebox. After several months of use with B&B charlogs and wood slivers, the bottom of the basket melted through. It still works with the compromised mesh...perhaps it would be better to have a thicker steel mesh on the bottom. For the price I was hoping it would last longer considering I use my smokers about four or five times a month. I'd look for stainless steel charcoal basket next time.

It does it's job. I don't know how long it'll last. It's warping after a dozen uses. Maybe just use this for grilling.

Quality built product. Held enough charcoal to keep a steady cooking & smoking temperature .

Works just like expected, I've used it with coals and wood. Ashes fall through. Great product.

Like it but I wish I had gotten a bigger size
