It really seems to help her sleep!
I’ve had this product for 4 nights now and my 5 week old and I have been sleeping for 5 to 3 hour stretches of time at night as opposed to 1-2 hour stretches. I feel like I tried everything to get my newborn to sleep longer than an hour at a time at night. She would grunt and squirm and wake herself up by kicking all night.Pros:1) The soft side of the Velcro on this swaddle is much bigger than the other swaddles I tried so I can really get a tight fit with the rough side of the Velcro and stretch the outer flap a lot farther around her.2) I like that there is an inner pocket for smaller newborns because my baby is a strong kicker and she will often wake herself up just from being able to kick her legs too much. If her legs are kept close to her body then she is much more likely to sleep through the night.3) I can only assume that the weighted areas have helped her sleep better because this swaddle was the only thing that changed in our nighttime sleep routine. On the first night she slept from 10pm to 3am. I thought maybe something was wrong with her because she had gone from sleeping 1-2 hours to 5 hours! And when she did wake up she barely fussed at all. Since the first night it has remained the same and she still sleeps 5 hours straight until that first early morning feeding.4) Overall, she goes back to sleep very easily after that first early morning feeding (no telling though if that is because of the swaddle or just because she can get a much fuller tummy much faster since my breast milk has been able to build up for 3 extra hours haha).Cons:1) Because my baby is a really strong kicker she can often get her legs out of the inner newborn pocket and into the larger outer sack which can make it more likely for her to wake up or take longer to fall asleep with the ability to do lots of kicking.2) She has been able to get her left hand up to her face a couple times within the swaddle which makes her not sleep quite as soundly. But the good thing is it’s easy enough to reach a hand up from the bottom of the outer flap and pull her arm back down without having to redo the entire swaddle and wake her up.Things I would change:1) I wish the inner newborn pocket was taller so that her legs couldn’t get up and over the top.2) just like with any swaddle I wish the sack portion was narrower or shorter so there is less room for her wiggly legs, but that just might be a problem for my newborn and not with most.3) I would make each flap a little wider so that they sit lower on the baby’s body when wrapped. I have seen her hands pop out of the bottom of the flaps once or twice. Other people complained of their baby being able to pull the flaps up to their face because their arms were long enough to pop out of the bottom of the flap. I haven’t had this problem (yet) like other people have but I can see how it would happen.Accommodations I have made:1) I have a couple times, against recommendations on how to wrap the baby, wrapped both arms under the inner flap so that he left arm doesn’t wiggle up to the top of the wrap and it worked like a charm.2) I wrapped her once with both arms under the side weighted areas instead of them under her arms and that kept her from getting a hand up to her face as well.Overall though, it’s a great swaddle and the weighted areas really seem to help her sleep! I think I will buy another in case this one gets pooped on in the night so that I have an extra!

Works but easily breaks
This is the only thing that kept my newborn asleep for hours. Hes 7 months old now, and doesnt sleep as well anymore since he outgrew it.Cons- velcro did wrap after a few washes and never laid flat again. Also, holes developed in the swaddle after one month of usage. Same thing happened with the next size up, the Nestle Zen

Naptime is saved!
Baby was sooo fussy for naps it took forever to get her sleepy like 40 minutes of walking her around in one very specific back-killing position and then she’d only sleep for like 20 minutes and wake up over and over crying unless we laid next to her the entire time and kept our hand on her chest and putting the pacifier back in over and over …. until we started putting her in this swaddle before rocking her to sleep. Now she goes down in like 10 minutes and naps easily 1-2 hours straight with no wakeups until she’s hungry. Amazing!

This product was a game changer for us.
My 10-week-old daughter has a hard time sleeping if she isn't being held. I wear her in a carrier for most of her daytime naps, but nights were really a struggle for us. She would sleep the first couple hours of the night in her bassinet, but after waking to eat, would only sleep if I was holding her-- so she would spend the rest of the night sleeping on my chest. We tried a few other swaddles but weren't impressed with the results. I finally ordered one of these because the concept of the weighted pouches really appealed to me. I'm so glad I did, because it has completely changed nights in our house! We've been using the Zen Swaddle for about a month and my daughter will now go back to sleeping on her own after a feeding. She's also started sleeping in longer chunks (up to 8 hours!). I know some of that is due to her age as well, but the Zen Swaddle really helps in that she doesn't startle awake when I try to put her down or take my hands off of her. She consistently sleeps better when she is wearing it and falls asleep quickly (usually within 5-10 minutes of putting it on). I sometimes use it during daytime naps as well-- I just drape it over her like a blanket with the weighted pouches in the correct spots and she will fall asleep in her swing.I'm really satisfied with the quality of this product. It is SO soft and is holding up well even though I wash it often. The velcro is nice-- not the standard kind, and it doesn't stick to everything like some of the other swaddles I purchased. When used correctly, it is very secure and my daughter cannot get her arms free-- she's a pretty wiggly and determined kid, so I think that other posters who complain that their little ones could get free must not have been swaddling tightly enough. This would probably be my favorite swaddling product just because of the quality of the materials, but the weighted pouches really put it in a class all of its own. As a special education teacher, I've frequently used weighted vests with some of my students, so I've seen that even just a little pressure/weight can make a big difference in helping a kid stay calm and relaxed. The idea behind this swaddle makes perfect sense to me in that regard. For babies like mine, who really crave being held, this product is a great way to give them that input while still helping them sleep on their own. I love rocking and nursing my daughter to sleep and am happy to hold or wear her for some naps, but I've slept much better since she began sleeping in her bassinet at night. I really appreciate that this product allowed us to make that transition gently and I plan to purchase one of the Zen sleep slacks for her to use after she outgrows the swaddle! Thanks to Nested Bean for thinking up this amazing product!

Use with caution
I purchased this after reading all the great reviews. I’ve used it on and off for a month now and was able to use both of the feet lengths. However, now that my baby is longer I e been using the bigger pocket and had a huge issue with my baby sliding down during the night and if it was for the fact that I’m a very light sleeper and heard her moving around I woke up to her being completely smothered inside. I know I fastened it properly around her shoulders when I put it on but was scary to wake up with her inside of it. I will no longer be using this during the night just in case she wiggles her way down again, I would recommend the other ones that they have to avoid smothering and SIDS.

Great Product for Baby
My baby use to wake up often during the nights and had trouble sleeping until I bought this swaddle for her. I usually swaddle her with arms out and she’d sleep for longer periods. You definitely get value for money and you’d definitely get more sleep 😅

Life saver
So my 2.5month old was already sleeping 4-5 straight a night, which I think is pretty good but I thought I’d try this product anyways. Didn’t think it was going to work BUT.....Night one: slept 6hrsNight two: slept 7hrsNight three: slept 9hrs!!!!!!Also helped her go to sleep faster.Used to take her 1hr to fall asleep, now she falls asleep in 30 or less.

Works well but...
My kid did like the weight on it and you could get it very tight but because there was no velcro between the swaddle wings and the swaddle body underneath he could work his hands under the wings and push them up around his neck? I always needed to wrap his arms up underneath this swaddle too.

Good but
I do like this swaddle. My baby loves to have arms restricted for falling asleep but rhen she will put her 1 arm out. This is stretchy she is able to get arms out. But also the weighted flap isn't the greatest. It's just a flap that is wither into or swaddled with baby. Baby does kick it off. In theory great product I still enjoy it. Just doesn't stay on now that my baby is moving more.
